Haven't sighted one, so what are we aiming for this year?

Me, I need to be more focussed. Wife is away for 6 months, being focussed isnt quite running at 100%, Or 50%!

Procrastination, that I have no issue focussing on. Ironically, when I get stuck in, I GET stuck in. So, I need to get to Step 1, then I'm ok

Mine is to finish projects with the stuff I have already before ordering more things for other good ideas I have seen online.

To sort a huge box of photos and turn some into books for posterity. Winter job.

To stop being like a camel and drink more water, since reading that doing this can add up to 15 years to your life and cure many ailments.

Find a new job (or more passive income), home, wife.

Also, like @richms, finish some projects before starting new ones. Not really looking forward to house painting and reconditioning 20 downlight reflectors, but I won't be doing anything fun until that's all done =/

To get to 1000 comments on geekzone.

I am taking on a new job (promotion) so that should be a good challenge, and I will try to find time to maintain the vege garden.

A number of years ago my New Year’s resolution was to not bother with NY’s resolutions. It is the only one I’ve ever been able to accomplish (so far).

Does your existing wife know that you're looking for a new one? 😁

My resolution is not to make resolutions. It is a silly practice.

To get to 2024, look back and be able to identify at least one thing I’m pleased about achieving.

Like most INTP personalities, I’m excellent at having ideas but disinterested in executing them.

Geektastic: To get to 2024, look back and be able to identify at least one thing I’m pleased about achieving.

After googling, that does sound like me. Logical, a thinker, introvert, happy in my own company. Its not like that with others, or at a "partay" I'm quiet, but not loud.

My challenge is execution. Poor choice of words there! At times I can get a bit blah, but "executing" a task, big or small, long or quick, gives satisfaction and mental compliance. Probably Dopamine without googling. Im on my own for a while, and while that gives "good" opportunities, (get stuff done) it also can work against that (bugger it its sunny a few cold ones and think about the meaning of life)

Re achieving, think achievable. Often I list todays plans. They are great but too much. Do some, not happy. Failed. Better to think Ive got 3 decent tasks Id like to do, but I will do ONE. Easily achievable. Satisfied.

(I'm FAR from this open, but a shout out to @networkn for his Mental Health thread. Its a tough thing to mention, but sharing halves the task, Im sure thats not too far off the mark)

Yes, execution is the key.

I once saw the Myers Briggs personalities described in “Yearbook comments” and INTP was

“Most likely to have become a genius and done nothing with it!”

Workwise? Look to take next step upwards in my career, gain some flexibility (I'm in the office five days a week) and start the long march to where I have been working hard to get. I don't earn stellar money for what I do, and I've been with the same org for close to five years now, so I'm well below proper market level for salary, let alone where the market is for the role I've ended up de facto performing/the roles I'd be looking at.

Personal? New house. Support my partner and son more with more time around the house. Upgrade some parts on my ZE1 Leaf like the charger, maybe get the LFP battery or the long-range one. Drastically bolster my savings situation. And finally set up my ideal home office and workshop space if a new house allows. I'm no bloody good with anything mechanical, and I want my kids to learn that sometimes we try things that we aren't naturally good as a way of making sure we are always learning new things.

And finances permitting, I'd like to start fixing my teeth. I've never been in a position to do something about them and it's actually quite depressing to have a professional career and still have dental issues I don't feel I can afford to fix.
