So I collect Hot Wheels. Only been doing so for about a year, but lost track of how many I have already.......

Mostly mainlines, (Info), but some good Premiums.

Scalpers (as with any product) p*ss me off, I don't mind if you do buy extras with intention of selling, but not for 3x or more the original cost.

Even my daughter the other day, was talking to another collector at The Warehouse, who indicated he really wanted a Skyline - daughter had 3 in hand she had dug out of the bins. She gave him one and he was stoked. This sort of thing makes me 1) proud  and 2) happy to see some collectors are happy to help one another out.

Anyway, if you collect, whats your collection looking like ? Any particular fav castings ?

Will eventually get pics/lists of mine once we get into new house and I find them all again :D

One of my most recent scores....  $25 from Mightyape - box slightly damaged which can be fixed with a squirt of glue :)

Picked up this at Countdown just now. Have never seen it before so I'm guessing I got to it before someone else did.

My son already has the SWB Quattro and the E Tron so this would complete his set but if it's worth keeping aside, I will.

It's a nice casting, but fairly common in the scheme of things. Countdown does get some of the good stuff though, but they tend to take longer to sell their stock, so new boxes don't get opened as much.

We've just gone through all our double ups etc and listed for sale, they seem to be selling like hot cakes as a lot are more sought after ones.

If there is anything in particular you are looking for, feel free to yell out and can check what we have in stock (as it were) or keep eye out in our local suppliers :)

We have a fantastic local model shop for them, he gets all the good stuff but has to charge a slight premium on them as hes a sole trader, not buying in huge bulk like Warehouse etc.

Ah, good to know. My son now has the Audi in his hot little hands and is watching IMSA clips on YouTube on TV.

I've had some good finds from the bargain bins when they put them out at Countdown. At the end of the day I'm buying toys for my son rather than anything collectible first and foremost - although I have picked up a Lancia Stratos as an Xmas gift for my father.
