Hey everyone,

I'm wanting to purchase movie tickets for an upcoming film to watch at my local cinema, and I stumbled upon 'flicks.co.nz'. Does anyone have experience with buying tickets from there? Is it reliable and safe? I'd appreciate any insights or recommendations you might have.

Thanks in advance!

Should be fine - they are owned by Vista who make the ticketing software for pretty much every cinema in NZ

Awesome, thanks for letting me know. Currently, I'm residing in Bulls, and unfortunately, we don't have a cinema here. Consequently, we have to travel to Whanganui to go to the movies. However, we don't always have the time to make the trip just to buy tickets. So, I found the website flick.co.nz selling tickets for the Whanganui movie cinema. While the Whanganui cinema website does offer online purchases, I was disappointed to find out that they do not have options for purchasing tickets for kids. So, yeah.

Are you talking about the “Embassy 3”?

I’ve just had a hoon on their website.

it looks like they block child tickets when the rating is above PG & M (they block them for restricted ratings).

i.e. you can see child tickets for movies like king fu panda 4 which is PG, but you only get adult and student options for R13 - 18 movies.
