So there is a deal with shopify where you just pay $5usd a month and that gets you a basic minimal functions exposure to the world of ecommerce.

Am i right in thinking that this actually is quite a good deal for any small range product you have to sell?

The cost of hosting on a server a created say woocommerce shop maintaining it etc etc is a whole load more that $5usd

negatives ? or yea why not ?

just thinking out loud at present

$5 Shopify ? Thats hell of a deal if its their usual $29 account.....

Long as its "the full package" I'd go for it. But watch for limited time frame on that $5 (ie only for first 3 months)

You'd need to look at the limitations of such a cheap plan. From what I can see, it might not even include product categories etc. (so you have to have individual product page links which you'd then add to your social media, or a non-Shopify website).

Oh yeah I think its a bare bones deal but I was thinking of a single product maybe switched weekly?
