Not at all. I'm very impressed with Dell's efforts! Been reading some horror stories about customs and local courier delays overseas, that's all.

I got my laptop within 5 working days. Overly surprised by that, especially when they said 10 - 15 working days. No issues with customs

This is a slightly different situation that if you had ordered from an overseas supplier. As you have ordered from dell.co.nz you have already paid GST etc so that is not an issue. Dell will most likely have all of their incoming stock pre-clear customs so it won't get stopped.

It took 10 days to get my XPS laptop delivered, but I was living in Dunedin at the time and almost everything takes longer to get there :)

In my experience Dell tend to under-promise and over-deliver, which is what I like to see from a customer orientated organisation.

From what I've seen in the past, ETA is usually about 8-10 days.

20-Apr-2009	Order Received
20-Apr-2009	Order released to manufacturing
21-Apr-2009	Manufacturing Build Complete
21-Apr-2009	Ship from Factory
22-Apr-2009	Loading for Export
