Was thinking of getting a second loaded card to separate out purchases. Anyway, the one I have isn't offered anymore and they have a new one they call loaded everyday which runs on a different system (that's all the counter staff could tell me) but when I had a look into it there was another difference that is enough to make me not want it.

Its not hidden - its on here - http://www.loadedeveryday.co.nz/fees/ and not on the old loaded card here - https://www.loadedcard.co.nz/fees/

Disputed transaction fee
When you dispute a transaction made using your Loaded Everyday card.

$15 per transaction receipt requested.

All I can think when I read this is WHAT THE ?!
They want the user of the card to pay every time that you have to get them to resolve something that has happened because of their systems insecurity?!!

Now I havent had to dispute anything on my current loaded card yet as I only have used it on paypal and they have sorted things for no-show goods, but if I had used it on any of the many insecure webshops around the place and been pinged, I would be up $15 a shot to just dispute them. No mention of if I get a refund of that post dispute or anything.

Whatever, having the customer pay to sort out their and merchants failures is not acceptable.

Looks like despite my despise of them I will be getting a visa debit on the business account.

standard fee on all credit cards, if the merchant can't provide a copy of the signed voucher/receipt or other proof you authorized the transaction then you'll be refunded and not charged the fee.

seriously though get a visa business credit card and you'll have zero fraud liability and most fees waived.

I have never ever ever been asked for a payment when disputing a charge on my previous real cards in NZ.

If I was I would have told them where to take themselves and closed it as the insecurities in the network are _THEIR_ fault for not evolving from the 1970's

I have had credit cards since at least 1988 and never had to initiate a dispute. You guys sure get some dodgy stuff.

the only time I have had to request a refund from the CC company, was after the company went into liquidation without providing the goods. Never had a any problems with fraud.

The only times I have had problems has been around the same time that a unique address I have used on a halfbaked website also starts to get spam incoming, so i can only assume that the webstore was hacked over, database dumped and card numbers used. No problems with the chargebacks, big annoyance with getting a new card and having to update places that were billing to it - again the fault of a backwards banking system.

Now I tend to stick with places that dont take card numbers and process with paypal or some other external processor that seems trustable. Still get the spam but at least I dont have to jump thru the hoops of card replacement.
