The West Wing via Netflix, the best writing of any series I've seen on TV. Seriously. So many twists and turns, brilliant characters, and palpable tension. It hasn't aged a day either.

I'm enjoying The Blacklist too but the female lead is really starting to annoy me. Weak writing in some of her parts backed up by sometimes weak delivery. That, and her makeup is flawless 24x7 she's just not as believable as she needs to be. By contrast, James Spader is incredible really, think he was almost born for that sort of role.

Jas777: The new series on TV ONE - Intelligence got cancelled. Is it not very good? Looks like it is a procedural with a different story every week rather than on going stories.

Yep.  CBS canceled it after season 1 of 13 episode.   May get picked up by another network.  Have my TiVo set to record it tonite..

stuzzo: Broadchurch, this has to be the most tedious piece of television to come along in a while. So disappointing because it came with such hype, nominations(and winning) awards, all star cast, viewership in the UK etc.

The theme has been done to death and you wondered, how can they do it differently? They couldn't and it didn't deliver.

you're not alone mate.

almost total snoozeville.

it didn't even look that good in hd (i've seen it on bd and network tv).

Rake on Netflix - missed the opening episodes on FTA

Just finished S2 of House of Cards - loved that.

Couple of Ken Burns doco's on Netflix - The Civil War and The West

Ric Burns' New York doco from YouTube on iPad via Chromecast to telly.

At the other end of the spectrum, we series-record a lot of America's Funniest Home Videos and play them just watching the clips (ffd the ads and comments BS) - get real belly laughs from a lot of that.

Also really like Stephen Fry's QI.

Want to see True Detective.

solaybro: Just re-watched Band of Brothers in super low quality, it's one of the best TV shows ever made.

+1 for that.

So why not just hit the +1 button above his post and give him a lasting 'plus one' rating too?

Lol, didn't know that existed.
So +1 for you both :)

House of Lies is a good watch

Jack is back too, but I'm going to wait till all 12 episodes are available to watch on the trot and then I'll write off an entire Saturday.

Not so much what I'm watching but my wife is right into "American Horror Story" which is weird because she hates the horror genre!

One or two per day, a few days per week. Often stop on any given day just because we're full on that show. However at times did watch Breaking Bad in threes because it was sooo good.

Seeing as The Blacklist is taking a break, just started Banshee as sooo many have recommended it.  Looking rather interesting thus far I must say, NZ talent at it's best is good to see.

The other is from Dusk Till Dawn because I am a sucker for anything Tarantino has his hand in.  Movie was a cult classic back in the day and interested to see where the TV series goes.

Banshee was great - apart from:

1. Moody female character being moody - a lot.
2. Antony Starr sleeping with EVERY female character.
3. Random gratuitous sex scenes that really do zero for the story (I get it is Cinemaxx, but meh - they were cringeworthy)

Otherwise really cool - just watch out for some pretty nasty physical violence stuff if that puts you off.

Job (played by Hoon Lee) was my favourite character.
