Rikkitic:

The adorable little kittens feeding and playing outside our window.

My 13 yo daughter *insists* on taking in SPCA foster kittens... want one? :-)

The come home, take up the spare room, and stay until they hit 1000g then go back.

Occasionally they're just too ingrained feral and never seem to socialise. The one we have at the moment seems to have immediately worked out that life is pretty sweet if you act friendly and playful.

When my father asks me how much it will cost to change his ticket from UK to NZ because he has been packed for a week and my son has asked him if he can change his ticket and get here a week earlier.

Brilliant!

When you order an in-stock product and a pre-order at the same time and only pay one delivery fee, then get the magic email the next day:

Thank you for shopping with us. To deliver your items as soon as possible, Amazon.co.jp has shipped a part of your order today. This won’t change the amount of shipping and handling fees you pay for the order.

The incredible accuracy of the net weather station I picked end of last year - regardless how weather itself is.

Buying a new Bluetooth noise cancelling headphones and the realising that the gesture controls aren't working for 30 minutes in a flight to then realized the Controls only work using Bluetooth and you are connecting via stereo cable. This despite being in IT for 20+ years and a gadget geek. Sometimes it's good to laugh at yourself!

  • getting into extended miaow conversations with my cat.
  • surprising my 1 year old enough to make him flinch and fart at the same time.
  • kids in others cars who pull faces through the window in traffic in response to my own face pulling.
  • the free fruit for kids basket in the supermarket and how it keeps the boy quiet.
  • my brain convincing me I just ate both sandwiches in the pack, then looking down to see there is still one left.

My new Panasonic electric shaver.

Totally awesome device, which knocks the Brauns I have used since I was about 20 into a cocked hat.

Also the interesting fact I learned whilst researching razors: beard stubble requires approximately the same force to cut, and affects the sharpness of blades the same way, as copper wire of  the same dimension!

My freshly mowed lawn.  Particularly after having just sharpened the mower blades.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Watch the Stella Artois advert currently showing on TV and look carefully at the items Sebastian Artois is selling (it's set in 1777) to finance his purchase of the brewery.

Waking up after hearing heavy rain on roof all night, to a sunny blue sky day with everything smelling fresh.
