Diary of the dead: i finished watching this with a few mates and thought that this is a pretty good movie. its set like cloverfield were it POV all the way through, which works for the movie. i have to admit their are some pretty good quotes like "lets hope this place aint like that hospitial". the scene that made me love this movie is were a armish guy got attcked by the zombie and to kill him he put a scythe through his head to kill the zombie behind him

The Wrestler starring Mickey Rouke - Kinda depressing & grotesque all at once - At thats just Mickey Rourke.

Unless you really love the wrestling - I like it - Not worth your time

gehenna: Secret Window: based on Secret Window Secret Garden by Stephen King, about a writer who heads to his secluded home in the woods of small-town America (sounds very "The Shining" already, but it's quite different). I've seen it before, and found it to be a bit predictable from quite early in. But if you don't look too deep and you're not one to figure out these thriller/twist type movies easily then you'll probably enjoy it. Johnny Depp is great in his role, and John Turturro is outstanding as usual. Worth a look I reckon!

Oh my I HATED that one! Which is painful for me to say because Depp is usually brilliant, and Turturro never disppoints me.

But only for one reason.... as soon as Turturro said "You stole my book", every Chuck Palhaniuk book came flooding back to me. I thought, "Oh here we go, let me guess, he's one in the same, like Tyler Durden"... and I spent 90 minutes waiting to find out if I was right. Transparent as a roll of gladwrap. My girlfriend was the same, we almost turned it off but just haaaad to find out if we were right or not, LOL. Fight Club and The Usual Suspects all over again, only dumber.

Yep, same here :)

But like I say, if you're the type that enjoys the procedural twisty turny movie then you'd probably enjoy this.

I totally disagree, I can't stand wrestling but I loved this film. It's everything I enjoy, a dialogue driven character analysis. The wrestling itself felt like a character to me as well.

Yeah I can't stand wrestling, but that looks pretty sweet.

Rourke = Good
Great dialogue = Good

Looking forward to it... hopefully nice & grimy and harsh like Raging Bull.

I was into wrestling as a kid.. and by wrestling, I mean coreographed steroid-fuelled pretend-fighting by men with mullets who seem to enjoy standing in their undies in front of a stadium full of toothless hicks.

Just saw Gran Torino - good film by Clint Eastwood but then again you wouldnt expect anything less! Some the one liners in it were a bit cringe worthy but overall an entertaining movie. Worth the look - I would give it an 8/10, not far off the quality of a million dollar baby but yet so far.

After hearing all the news about a new tomb raider i decided to go back and watch the first one... Lara Croft: Tomb Raider... twas really cool, guns and angelina jolie in exotic locations driving a land rver with NIN music in there somewhere.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is hilarious, tid bit sexual but still awesomely funny.
TAKEN: I can't tell you how much this movie rules! out on DVD now it is worth the watch! All you will think is "OMG he's the man!"

i'm really jealous of you two right now. i want to go. but its down to money and parents and they're making is very hard and when i ask about it get annoyed and now i feel like a friken nag.
BUT I'M ALOUD THEYR MY FAVOURITE BAND AND MAY NEVER TOUR AGAIN! this could be my only chance to see them.
i hate how parents work. anywho any songs your looking forward to hearing? im gona say anything from yearzero along with the song deep, discipline, only, closer, with teeth album and some from the fragile left.. this may be a bit off topic

Hoping to hear a few from Broken and Downward Spiral. Loving the new stuff too so hopefully theres some stuff from Year Zero and The Slip. There's bound to be Fragile stuff too - last time I saw them it was a really good mix of stuff from their career so it should be a good show.

if we did start a new thread it could be goin off since most of nins fans are very computer literate i have seen a few nin avatars around here often. i also hope they play some ghosts stuff. i dont know how hard it would be to do live but thatd be cool cos some of them are really interesting ie 1, 12, 36, 34, and definately 9. thats it im gona start a new thread! if it closes then it closes and people may hate me for life ahwell :D

Rock n Rolla: This is the latest Guy Ritchie film (Lock Stock, Snatch, etc) and doesn't really do much to separate itself from his previous English gangster style of film. It's not great, but it's not bad. It looks good, that's for sure. But it's as predictable as an M Night Shyamalan film is these days, purely because he follows the same recipe from start to finish. A friend of min reckons he's done a good movie that's true to the genre he's created - which is pretty much true. Don't expect anything except a retelling of Lock Stock or Snatch and you won't be too disappointed. The twists are predictable, the acting is so-so, the pace is standard. All in all it's a decent date movie or way to waste a couple of hours, but it won't change your life.
