djtOtago:

Works for me in FireFox on both Windows and Mac and always has from day one of the redesign. If it's not working for your FireFox setup then maybe it is a You problem.

Nope, I'm not the only one. Someone else said the same thing earlier in the thread, who was also using Firefox.

Doesn't matter anyway, it worked fine previously with the exact same browser (as it did for many, many years) and now it doesn't after their pointless change, so I'm going to use another homepage instead.

Because of the Stuff fiasco I’ve just discovered Scoop and am enjoying that instead of Stuff. I like that it allows comments which Stuff mostly doesn’t allow for anything remotely controversial. The Wellington section is very informative, no rubbish click bait and no trite nagging to pay splashed across the page.
I would actually be happy to donate to keep them alive.

Looks like you can: https://foundation.scoop.co.nz/?supporter

It's starting to annoy me that about 1/5th of the time, the site won't load, sits at a half formed S. Crazy it's not fixed in over a week!

Stuff for me in macOS Firefox latest version 122.0.0 is working.

I know I am teaching grandma how to suck eggs here but all those who are having Firefox problems, just a thought, have you done a totally "Cleared History" > "Everything"  ??

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

josephhinvest: Browsing on iPhone using Safari, all I needed to do was use my pi-hole, block a bunch of elements with 1Blocker, set to use Reader mode automatically, and create an account and sign in.
That’s all it takes to make the site look great /s

Cheer,
Joseph

i came here to have a whinge that reader view isn’t working anymore, but it is. Problems solved.

Interestingly, I now see on the initial story they posted singing from the rooftops about the improvements (originally asking for "comments below") all comments have now been removed and commenting has been switched off. I suppose when you have over 300 comments and less than 10 are supportive it might just be telling you something.

Of course, they'll probably follow the old philosophy of never admitting they got anything wrong 🙄
