Flight I agree with, I loved it to begin with, then got bored with its predictability.

SLP was worthy of a solid 8 or 9 /10. The performances by the two leads were spot on.  I think I appreciated it most having dealt with the subject matter to death in my own life. It was a window in to how a large population struggle with mental illness, with the perfect amount of comedic tone.  JL was a worthy winner of best actress

Nicholas Cage is an excellent actor prone to accepting too many movies below him.

I did rate him in Adaptation but aside from that I think he has the emotional and vocal range of a dead fish. I can't stand any of his other films, and I struggle with the concept that he is actually marketable in Hollywood.

Apart from hiring some DVDs (most of which don't stand out in my memory), I haven't been to the movies for a while. I haven't seen any of the Oscar contenders (apart from The Hobbit). I don't know if I'm depriving myself or not.

I watched lawless, made me squeamish with the Violence which I am normally concerned about.

Did have decent acting.

6/10 Did not really see the point of the movie.

I think he has lots of unpaid taxes to catch up on which is probably the reason for being desperate enough to star in two Ghost Rider movies.

Well, the first Ghost Rider movie was because he's a massive comic book nerd (he named his son Kal-El). The second one can only be explained by either bankruptcy, or wanting to be the next Michael Caine (take any movie offered and hope for some good ones).
