Handle9: TSB offers a virtual banker service where you make an appointment. They were offering one for today so last night I booked it, got an email saying that a confirmation would follow with the link to the call.

I’ve gotten up early so I can join the call and of course there’s no email from them. I’d like to say I’m surprised but I’m not. It’s pretty consistent with my other dealings with them, they really are hopeless. If it wasn’t a total pain to refinance I’d be gone.

Heh, this is why after all these years of extremely average service from Kiwibank, we are still there. The cost of moving and the hassle, makes it hard to justify.

I'd only ever heard good things about them - colour me surprised!

It's like dealing with the Clampetts. It's a typical NZ company that is under resourced and run with crappy systems.

To give you another example I didn't supply any of their AML BS for around 18 months. Every time they'd ask for it I'd ask a question and they would disappear for another 3 months.

We used to be with Kiwibank. Compared to the muppet show they were a breeze.

Repco. go to counter, place items on counter, assistant starts scanning items. doesn't ask for AA card, but i pull it out anyways as hey fuel savings. has to cancel everything and start again as the system cant handle scanning it in the middle or after the fact.

I just opened my dishwasher and was startled when it suddenly went bang (it was not running at the time). The door now feels very heavy, and all I can conclude is that a counterweight has fallen off somewhere! It's probably not worth fixing...

A spring has broken. It's at least worth trying to get another.

@Behodar

I used to have a Dishlex dishwasher (80's era) for 30 odd years and went through several door springs. They were easy to replace as they were mounted behind the side panels which I could remove. I still have two brand new ones.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

This humidity in Auckland combined with the heat.

It's just plain awful and our air con can't cope (for the first time in several years, we actually need to have more than one heat pump in the house!

I'm working from home still and my office is the hottest room in the house and the most remote from the aircon, to boot. I have a desk fan, but it's doing very little.

I may have to start working in the nude.

Yesterday I set up a temporary desk in our master bedroom that has air con. My home office is a small box room with a window facing due north, yesterday the room was 32*C inside even when the outside temp was only 28*C. Its a great room to work in the winter but not comfortable in his humidity we have at the moment

No Zoom then. Or they might fire you. 😀
