No discussion of Je Ne Regrette Rien is complete without mentioning Bec Hill's "translation"

Begins at 2:31. I suppose it's slightly NSFW.

This Ford Thunderbird owner had a manual transmission.

I think the 1962 Ford Thunderbird convertible had a pushbutton transmission, It was a feature of a few American cars of the time.

I had a chance to buy a 1958 Ford Edsel funeral hearse for $500.

Like my most hearses, it was in good condition, because they're usually driven carefully (you'd hope), with police escorts, and well maintained.

Always fancied a Cadillac hearse a la Terminator 3.

I did get to ride in a 1989 Cadillac Brougham, as a passenger.

It was the largest car I've ever been in; Oddly it never looks as big as it feels. It has a massive engine, but is somewhat sluggish.

Cadillac Brougham is actually longer than a Hummer, though a Hummer is wider. The Rolls-Royce Phantom Sedan is the same length.

I looked up the scene on Youtube.

And here's a review of the car, not the hearse.

Article: Why did sedans in the 20s and 30s have fabric roofs?
...
"The antique car manufacturer rolling mills made sheet steel that was too narrow to make a whole roof in one piece. So they made the roof with a hole in the middle, filled with a material that resembles a vinyl top, over a base of wooden rafters covered by chicken wire and cotton padding to give a smooth shape.

Only luxury cars and custom bodies had a one piece metal roofs."

Didn't know where to put this post.

I never heard of this game, until I accidently came across it.

"The New Zealand Story is a platform game developed and released in arcades by Taito in 1988. The concept and setting were inspired by a holiday trip in New Zealand by one of the Taito programmers.

The player controls Tiki , a kiwi who must save his girlfriend Phee Phee and several of his other kiwi chick friends who have been kidnapped by a large blue leopard seal.

While avoiding enemies, the player has to navigate a scrolling maze-like level, at the end of which they release one of Tiki's kiwi chick friends trapped in a cage.

In 2007, the arcade game received a remake for the Nintendo DS under the title New Zealand Story Revolution."

There really is a YouTube channel for any interest.

Here's one channel for fans of the ~1970 flip clock

I wouldn't mind one, plus a nixie tube clock or scope clock, for no particular reason.

Techmoan talks about both

Perhaps more worthy than Epic.
Latests example of how missinformaiton is amplified and spreads before facts get their jocks on.
