Seeing a LARGE poster on the outside of my nearest Mad Butcher (No I don't shop there) encouraging people to buy meat now and pay later!

From the Mad Butcher website:

Wonder how many people will get further into debt (Buying extra etc as well - not like you can repossess it!)

I'm patching some small nail holes, and using builder putty (which sets fast and hard in 5 minutes)

I ordered 100 tongue depressors to use as a throw away putty knife, for $5.

Instead of getting 1 box of 100 I got 100 boxes of 100.

I'll ask the trader if they'll send me a mailing labels to get it back.

If not, I guess an elementary school can make some arts/craft projects with my donation.

Is that a school for chemists to learn about elements?

Several years ago, when they were really expensive, I ordered a 2 terabyte USB drive and they sent a 4 terabyte one instead. I emailed them and offered to return it at their expense, and they told me just to keep it. I still use it for back-ups.

Maybe allowances can be made for those who actually are American?

…. or identify as American. 😀

(At first I was going to comment on the post too - but then thought maybe the poster is American).

Never mind Transmission Gully and all it's delays I'm so over the all the roadworks and can't wait for the PP2O section to open. Will it be this year or will it also have years of delays ?

I am so tired of following people doing 60 in the 80 and 80 in the 100 in perfect weather and road conditions. Don't get me started on the trucks plowing through the 50 sections at 80 because they can't be bothered to slow down.

Sold something on trademe and I emailed the buyer a screenshot of the printable courier label and a convenient shortcut directly to its tracking page.

6 days now and still no tracking updates.

I emailed the buyer three days later pointing out the above saying it's a bit weird asking if it has been delivered yet and no answer.  Also let them know I have security camera footage of the pick up.

Ah well, they can't be missing it.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Those things are great, you can buy bags of them from craft shops and similar and use them as glue spatulas, scrapers, paint stirrers, ...

I have a home theatre, and last night I had some guests around. The ceiling in the room is fairly low, and I have a rectangular table in the middle of the room. The front half of the table is reachable from the seats and often contains snacks, and the back half of the table exists purely to stop people from walking underneath the projector and hitting their heads on it.

So, naturally, one of my guests took it upon himself to move the table when I wasn't in the room, and then proceeded to whack his head on the projector.

Hope you didn't have to then spend ages lining it back up with the screen again.

Some people have no awareness. Touching someone else's tools/furniture/computer/phone without asking is an ultimate social sin.

Fortunately it's fairly quick to align this one, at least well enough for the sort who whacks their head on a projector!

this grates sooo much (are talking about the road to zero initiative? ) while the idea i hope is well-intentioned - the reality is this.

to me it is just an excuse for poor/unattentive drivers to be even more of a hazard.

id like to know how many road deaths there were when all we had was a horse and cart.
