The tracking could stay like that until it just turns up.

When a shop claims to be open 24 hours on its signage and website, but you turn up at 8:30 in the morning to find it running in 'limited service mode' and not offering the thing you want. There is no mention on the site about there being different 'modes' at different times of day.

A different shop, according to the "store finder" on its own website, is 260 metres away from where it actually is. It's not a former location either; it's just in the wrong place.

Did you pay by credit card? This topic has come up before as I remember answering it previously.

When paying by credit card you are provided two receipts. The first is the itemised purchase receipt and the second is the credit card transaction receipt. By opting out at the self service check out you are only opting out of the purchase receipt. The credit card transaction receipt can not be opted out of, the vendor is required by law to issue a transaction receipt with every credit card purchase.

They really should be more explicit about this on the self check out screens.

That explains it then, I guess I can no longer be annoyed by this.

I still intend to be annoyed about this. I reject the common-sense approach that some of these so-called Geeks provide here on the internets.

Going self checkout at New World and selecting NO when it asks you if you want to print a receipt, and it still prints out the receipt addon that gives you 6c off petrol per litre

Countdown seems to accept my option to not print a receipt and prints nothing.

Yeah, Amazon are usually pretty good with refunds.  Just the annoyance of waiting a couple of weeks for it to arrive, having it nicked, and then having to wait again for a new parcel.

The follow-up to this one probably deserves to be in the other thread, but after ordering the replacement last Tuesday, it was delivered this morning.  Really impressed with the speed of delivery from the US, but baffled why the first was predicted to take a month to arrive, arrived in 2 weeks, then facing another couple of weeks for the replacement only to have it arrive even faster than the one that got nicked.

Suffice to say, when the courier rolled up at 7am this morning, I dispatched my daughter down the driveway to snatch it up before any thief could nab it.

In the end, a good outcome.

And then I get there and find that it's shut, because now they close on Mondays and haven't bothered to update their site. Good job, Spark.

I prefer to try to lever the lid up a bit to let the air in (when that eventually occurs to me of course...)

No way, opening jars is a he-man job I use to show lapenguina I am actually worth keeping around the place.

Which makes it very embarrassing if I struggle with one (it's got oil on it, WT*#*!).

Technically, not a receipt; it's a "voucher", which they are legally obliged (by their agreement with the petrol company) to give you.

Trust me - the staff hate them more then you do, and for pretty much the same reasons.

Many older houses had a V shaped device on the back of the pantry door. One side of the V had saw teeth that grabbed the edge of the lid while you twisted the jar. Since there isn't a convenient place for ours in the kitchen it is my secret weapon in the garage..

Nah, it's the petrol one. At Countdown when you say No it doesn't print one.

I don't know the point of the petrol one at new world since its the same amount as just scanning my airpoints or flybuys card at Z gets anyway. Haven't seen a decent discount amount in ages and if the whiners about fuel competition get their way we never will again.
