Haven't been to it yet, but tickets secured to the next Queen + Adam Lambert tour.  They are moving from arena to Stadium concerts this time round, so that should be interesting.

299 Days to go.....

How'd you get tickets early?  The earliest presale I can find starts Monday....

Fan Club pre sale. Melbourne sold out an entire concert just from fan club presale tickets alone.
I was amused to get emails from Teg Dainty and then Visa Entertainment with their presale offers, after I'd already got tickets.

Unlike Melbourne, Wellington only seemed to offer a certain selection of seating for fan club.

Air Supply - Bruce Mason

I really enjoyed this. I am always a little anxious when older artists perform about how good their voices are going to be.

Also, embarrassingly, when two men stepped onto the stage I was more than a little surprised. Whilst I am a fan, I have only heard their music and know nothing about the band. I didn't even know they were Australian until last night. Russell's voice was superb, almost perfect the whole show.

Of particular enjoyment was "Chances" which is a song I've always loved but never knew who sung it. They did a great job with it, was very powerful.

They are a *very* friendly group, a lot of crowd interaction, they went into the crowd a few times and weren't shy about meeting fans at the end either.

A mind-boggling statistic. Last year they performed their 5000th show! That is SOME feat!

Front row seats at the Proclaimers at the Michael Fowler centre last night.

Great sound, great songs, great fun!

Very excited to see this picture on twitter today. This will be to play their Hunting High and Low album live in full.

I went to a few concerts last year and the best was David Bryne at Spark Arena. Such an amazing entertainer.

John Farnham - Villa Maria.

I am a big fan of JF, I have seen him a few times in various locations. I am not sure if it was our location or perhaps his age is starting to show but his voice didn't sound as good at times as I recalled, and he spent a little too much time letting the crowd sing. I wasn't a fan of some of the compositions of the big hits as much either and I am not sure if that's a choice or forced on him as he perhaps can't hit some of the notes he could before.

Despite those things, it was a nice night out, perfect weather, great well behaved crowd, in a nice venue, with a good supporting act, with one of Australias greatest singers to top it all off.

Am guessing this doesn't really count, but haven't been to a concert in decades. An extensive list of The Jam, The Pretenders and believe it or not, Kid Creole and The Coconuts.

Not there yet, but looking forward to seeing Iron Maiden next year, after the disappointment of Metallica cancelling.

As you can tell, I am a massive Hip Hop fan.

Really looking forwards to Bad Religion on Wednesday.  Have been listening to them for over 20 years, never thought I would get the chance to see them live

Slightly disappointed in the recent U2 concert at Mt Smart.  Great music but  poor sound quality where we were - distortion at higher volumes.  Also Bono ... could do talking less and singing more.  He could have cut the waffle and gotten an extra song in.

I couldn't help but compare to previous concerts I've attended at Mt Smart: AC/DC on the Razors Edge tour  - Brian Johnson barely talked all night, they just played, great sound; The Boss - minimal chit-chat just lots of good music.

I agree with that - I was disappointed in the sound quality for U2 at Mt Smart.

We were in the stands to the side, and it was very distorted, and vocals were quite washed out. It did get better after the first few songs.

Could have also done with seeing the actual band on those massive screens a bit more.
