I like the fact that it's so easy to expand the Microserver, and I'd use it as a media and backup server.

I like that it's quiet. Not a sophisticated answer I know, but I volunteer with an organisation that has a constant buzzing which drives me nuts (I've taken to wearing noise cancelling headphones which is very antisocial but does the trick). Yep, if I win it definitely gets donated to them to upgrade their technical stuff.

I love the small size and also the ease of use and accessibility this will allow for my filoes to be usable across the network without too much hassle if any at all Well done to HP on a great product. :-)

The feature that attracts me most is the four 3.5” bays, I have multiple hard drives doing nothing at home so being able to use them all in the HP server will give me a chance to use RAID for both capacity and data durability which I cannot do with my current NAS situation.

HP's MicroServer would make a spectacular Hyper-V server. Especially with an addin SAS RAID card.

I am a proud owner of a hp microserver n54l, and I'm enthusiastic with it.
I have being using it as my home server as a files server, torrentbox, media server etc.
I recently incorporated it into my vSphere home lab as my "poor's man SAN".

Now I see that it got even better: more processing grunt, dual NICs, USB 3 ports... I can only imagine what I could do with it!

The 16gb max ram and dual ethernet ports (2gbs throughput with trunking? /drool) alone, would make this a valuable upgrade to my home network. My current EasyStore h430 currently hosts multiple movie & tv show library streams, PC game files, remote boot and client backups and lord help me if I ran a VM on it simultaneously! LOL
