fizzychicken:Also, I don't actually know who polly gillespie is, but her face is on the herald nearly everyday and from the article titles I can only assume she has had just about everything possibly bad happen to her at some point in her life....that may be so...but if your neck isn't broken why is your head like that? ....this is a total petty stupid rant of mine but 'the angles' still belongs on myspace only.

She is an annoying shouty DJ on one of NZME's radio stations. I assume that they keep her front and centre of The Herald to try and cross-sell to their potential radio audience.

'Why you'll feel ashamed to be a kiwi'

I'm ashamed that we have such stupid journalists in the media nowadays. I do realise this isn't limited to NZ. Visit a whole bunch of so-called news sites and you get gossipy click bait headlines the like of which Stuff and Herald choose to wallow in.

Even the BBC has had to admit it and been told to reduce the amount of light news and magazine style junk on their site!

How can I put this clearly? Let me see.... NO!

I would like to see if he and all the contestants and the crew and the idiot who thought up the show can run faster than a pride of hungry lions in the arena....

I didn't know she was on the radio - sure fine, spin a few discs, but she shouldn't be given a newspaper column to spout her nonsense.  She has no life experience and yet spouts her beliefs as self-evident facts.  Twit.

You should have seen her column on pitbulls and dogs in general.  It enraged me.  How someone is allowed to spout so much ignorance in the public domain in one go amazes me.

It's the age of the blog. Anyone can spout however much ignorance they want. All that is required for fame is sufficient desire to be famous. (I'm sure we're all thinking the K word now).

The irony of this thread is that it shows the headlines are doing precisely what they want them to do, attract attention and readership click stats.
