Just because something is offensive to someone doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to say it.
You are wrong and some random person saying stuff on a video does not make that person an authority or your fallacy correct
I am genuinely surprised that so many people appear genuinely surprised with the suggestion that some of the Royals might be racist. For me, I always assumed it was a given.
I see and hear things all the time that offend me but I wouldn't be able to get them banned. Nor should I be able to. There has to be an element of common sense to this. If something really bothers me, I will say so, but I don't believe in banning something just because it offends someone since anything and everything will always offend somebody somewhere. Different people have different triggers. Where I do think the line should be drawn is where it goes beyond mere offensiveness, and that is a whole different discussion thread.
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos
The whole notion that " ...names can never hurt me" is total rubbish. Names and words can do actual harm and history teaches us that names and by association attitudes cause real harm and death. If used by persons perceived of being in higher position that gives validity to some that their words and actions are OK.
I guess its safe to say Billy T would not be so revered in todays world as he once was and that much of his humour / style that made him who he was would now be completely demonised. Was he wrong to utilise humour to try and poke fun at various nationalities (it wasn't always self deprecating as a Maori, he also took aim at the English and Irish, Australians and Americans), or have we lost the ability to separate our own identities from that of a group and therefore take any negativity (whether malice exists or not) at a personal level?

How on earth can words cause death? How on earth can names cause real harm? You speak them, they're gone.
Think about it

Move to a country where you are treated as dirt. Some people don't have to move, but are.
Yes, thought about it. Maybe if they’re blasted through massive audio systems in enclosed spaces, causing organ rupture? Any noise could do that, doesn’t need to be a language. Otherwise not. There’s no auralvirus, I checked. Seems to be zero history of murder convictions (or even prosecutions) where the chief weapon was “Names”.
