OK disclosure -- I couldn't be less interested in the royals or anything to do with them.

But while my flatmates watched the CBS interview I picked up bits & pieces and was completely blown away at at how candid Meghan was.

The New York Times, my goto newspaper.....has a huge write up.

Epic. Even President Biden made a statement. A number of American conservatives have gone anti-Markle pro-royal family. America seems to be loving this drama it's bigger than Hollywood.

Watched it? Nah.

So super mind blowingly Tough life to "give up everything" as some B actress to become a princess eh.

There are only two lines in the interview that matters

"I'd give my life to them and do anything they ask"

Nek minit

"I have to curtsey?" No way, I'm out

drama queen. No need to believe anything else in there

Ps i completely understand sometimes in laws relations don't work out. but sorry i don't find the interview to be credible.

Floyd's two cents worth:  Didn't see the interview, no interest in it but can't help but be exposed to the highlights.  These confirm my opinion of Meghan that she is self-serving, attention seeking and a tad hypocritical.  I also think it's a shame that Prince Harry appears to have been sucked in by her, I used to rate him as a pretty cool guy with his priorities right.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

OK disclosure -- I couldn't be less interested in the royals or anything to do with them.

... then posts new thread with huge long article from NYT.

I'm interested in the antics of Royals, just not so much in royal trivia.

I'd have rather seen an interview with Princess Latifa Al Maktoum.  Evil King of fairy tale kingdom locks beautiful daughter in prison in desert.  The "Free Britney" movement should direct their attention there, and Disney should make a movie of the fairy tale.

Didn't watch it, but like others have read some of the highlights.

Comes across like they expected to keep all the perks of being a royals, but none of the responsibility or duties. If they choose to stand down from their duties, it's only reasonable that they lose the perks.

They had hoped to continue to receive money from Harry's father, Prince Charles...

Sounds pretty self-entitled.

As far as the racism thing goes, was it just one person questioning whether Archie would be "too brown" to represent they royal family? Obviously a very inappropriate comment, but did it really represent the whole family?

Also, how much of it is true? This is one side of the story from someone who has been financially cut-off, and for whom it's most advantageous to cast themselves as the victim.

No doubt there are some real events in there but it's very difficult to believe anything an American drama queen says. It could be anything from someone saying "their baby is going to be so cute I wonder whether they'll look more like mum or more like dad"

To something very unPC that you imagine that for example Prince Philip has said in the past,

But no I'm not taking anything from this interview

Well done I say Harry and Meghan for also exposing the Royal family. It will not be easy for Harry to say and do what he said and what he did for his wife and kids. leaving behind guaranteed income and luxury. He saw it coming it with how 'the establishment' were driving his wife to same treatment as they gave to his mother Diana. The media in UK is rubbish and was racist towards Meghan.

And to all the Royal supporters in media and elsewhere. I do not see you talk about prince Andrew. I for sure know and saw how much condemnation (lack of) the royal family befitted upon him for what he did and still continues to deny. Racism is deeply rooted into the royal family. I am happy that Harry broke free along with his wife and kids like Diana did and will enjoy rest of his life unlike the Les Misérables in his family's kingdom back home.

Do whatever you want to do man.

A lot of you sure have formed opinions on the interview without actually taking the time to watch the interview. therefore I find your opinions invalid. How about you employ some critical thinking skills instead.

My parents watched it last night and they were absolutely anti Meghan prior. This interview changed that for them and now find her genuine in her struggle against the BRF. For what it’s worth, I wasn’t a fan of hers either before but the interview changed my opinion of her.
