My favourite headset was the Sony Walkman.

As I have odd shape different size ext ear canals the standard Apple AirPods have never fitted well, plus they slip out when ear becomes sweaty. The above Sony pair did the trick, though no bluetooth, mic etc.

Over the years I also have had; Sony on the ear, Plantronics and Warehouse homebrand technics over the ear cans. I have never been able to afford a really good pair.

My preference would be; cans, bluetooth, mic, noise cancelling. Suitable for power walking, computer AV and HT use.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I play an electric piano.  My wife insists I wear headphones.  I'm quite a good pianist so I don't know why she is so insistent.

I also use a headset as I'm on the phone and need to be hands free to type.

I use my headphones for a multitude of purposes. 'Audiophile' listening, passive work listening, conference calling and of course travelling. I currently have the Sony XM4. I've previously had all of the Sony XM series and Sennheiser. However, I believe that Technics is one company that can actually match and exceed audio quality of both of the companies mentioned in this category. I would love to hear what Technics have done I am a diehard Technics fan.

Congratulations to whomever wins the headsets! :-)

Cheers,

Kal.

I suspect the usual story. If you only listen two one as you still communicate with others the other bud is feeling lost. Unfortunately it left me😢(lost)

Currently rocking a Jabra something something from work which has become a go-to when I am sitting in front of the computer at home. It is nothing fancy, but it's lightweight and does well on Zoom so can't complain.

Never fully invested in the thought of purchasing a wireless headphone for music due to the massive differences in price between the brands & model. Online reviews always include an extreme view of both ends, and I don't have the courage to try out the demo headphones in public as I don't know where they have been (especially so for the last couple of years).

If I do end up with a wireless headphone, it would mostly be to listen to Spotify I guess :P

I use the MDR-V6 for video calls and gaming, usually with a Yeti Blue microphone. These headphones give me amazing transparency in monitoring my own voice, hearing footsteps in CS:GO or great separation if I want to play music in the background as well in more casual games. The are reasonably loose fitting, so are comfortable for long periods of time (they are on the third set of cushions haha) though listening to music at regular volumes can be quite fatiguing due to the flat frequency response.

I currently use JBL650live.  A worthy competitor but old and worn and needs replacing.  I need something particularly when travelling, want to listen without disturbing others.  Listen to movies, TV, music.

Cheers

Currently using Sennheiser HD-450's.  Used mostly for work to block out colleagues in the office (pre-covid) and children at home(covid-times).

I'm currently using these $10 Headroom earbuds from aliexpress - I use them for everything: while doing work around the house, listening to music & podcasts, video conferencing while working from home, and plugging into my controller when playing video games.

No headphones currently and that needs to change! With 3 young children who are all in bed by 7pm I need a way to watch my YouTube clips about home automation without subtitles!
