Been really enjoying the content produced by Jet Lag: The Game; they have an (early) game here in New Zealand; but they're playing "racing" games all over the world:

Summary: NZ Commander was not properly trained, tried turning but didn't realize auto-pilot was on. If it was a car, it'd be equivalent of confusing accelerator for the brake, and pushing down harder and harder on accelerator trying to stop. $147 million NZD loss.

Hopefully this is not contagious.

Looks like an expensive tow.

In Over 40 years in the salvage business I ve never seen anything like this,   a French tourist says his GPS sent him to Akaroa Head,  a narrow steep 4 wheel drive track on Banks Peninsula in  the South Island of New Zealand that ends at the edge of towering cliffs over 100 metres high.
,
During a New Zealand version of the Paris Dakkar Rally, the man ignores multiple warning signs, and when the signs ran out simply drove down the hillside towards huge cliffs, the track is now for hikers only, and, managed to keep the van upright.

Aussie humor about someone we all know well. Definitely NSFW lyrics + marginal visuals near the end.

From the country, that had the "Rumble in the Jungle" poll, which asked Americans which wild animals they believed they could beat in a bare-handed fight.

72% believed they could beat a rat.

Against a grizzly bear. 1 in 16 of Americans thought they could win, without weapons, in a hand-to-hand fight.

So Americans want to know:

Could you defeat a tyrannosaurus rex, with a gun

Interesting differences.

In New Zealand, heavy trucking in terms of scale and vehicle configuration is more similar to the USA than to the UK.

Each US state has their own permits, and permitted configurations, because ... America

UK's road and bridge infrastructure is older and often narrower. This limits high-mass vehicle use.

GCM is the maximum allowable total weight of a truck plus all of its trailers and cargo.

Common / Regular GCM:
USA = 36–40 tonnes
UK = 44 tonnes
NZ = 44–62 tonnes

Is UK Trucking better than USA?
