That's freaky, popped into my youtube recommended viewing last night.  Watched it too.

Also recommend the Bayleys beach video, explaining the dune regression over the past aeons.

This freaked me out. Michael Jackson in 1974, when he was sane and pre-surgery.

Also a who's who of entertainers from same period: Alan Alda, Rosey Grier, Cicely Tyson, Carol Channing, Michael Jackson, Roberta Flack, Shirley Jones, Jack Cassidy, and Diana Ross

Youtube, Michael Jackson, timestamp 4:30

The content of the video "Free to be ... me and you" is a bit shocking, when you think of US today.

I'd half expected the customer to say, "No offense, but it seems you were taught math in the USA. Do you have a call center overseas I can talk to?"

I'm sure many of you know / remember The Verve, forerunners of the British music scene explosion led by Oasis - Oasis used to open for The Verve. They charted with some classic, timeless hits including Bittersweet Symphony & The Drugs Don't Work (written to his mum as she succumbed to cancer).

The vocalist & main songwriter was Richard Ashcroft, described by Coldplay's Chris Martin as the best songwriter in the world. When superstar Radio DJ Chris Evans started his breakfast show on Virgin Radio, his very first track was Richard Ashcroft live in the studio. One take live, no post engineering, straight from mic to air. Only the finest performers can pull this off. It's 20+ years since The Verve, his voice has aged gracefully & probably suits his songs even better now.

There's 3 Verve hits in this series - if you liked The Verve, or if you appreciate one-take live performances, you'll love this:

Lucky Man

The Drugs Don't Work

Bittersweet Symphony
