neb: The totally stupid way you're expected to book your flu shot, which assumes you want to go to exactly one chemist at exactly one physical location and wait however long it takes to get an appointment, e.g. a week from now. If instead it's "I'm in the CBD, where can I go to get a flu shot?" you have to manually click through every single pharmacy and chemist in the area and work your way through their booking system to see if and when they have a slot available.
Are they using a similar system to the original COVID jab system? Sounds a bit like it.

With Covid it was a bit different though, before it got to where you could get a Covid shot at the local dairy you typically had one big vaccination centre set up per suburb and your jab could be weeks away, so that booking model made sense. For "I just want to pop in and get my flu shot somewhere nearby during the lunch break" it's unworkable when there are one to two dozen places in range all doing it with no insight into what's available where and when.
@freitasm Is there any 2nd chance for Rikkitic?
I don't know the exact background, I don't want to know what happened, I'm not in charge of enquiring on his behalf and I don't want to take sides.
But maybe a time-limited suspension at your discretion and good guidance afterwards will help to rehabilitate him?
I always find it regrettable when a veteran forum member is quietly "brought to his senses" because of his other views, for which he could be properly fired upon here with counter-views. I am always of the opinion that a good democracy must be able to tolerate dissenting opinions to a certain extent.
You don't have to answer this, maybe just think about it.

Thank you! In the meantime, I have also learned that. But it doesn't change anything I said and is rather an indication that I am impartial ;-)

$12 ticket now cost the council over $100K when either could have just paid or waved and BS gone!
In another life, I was compulsorily acquiring a site for my employer (a large water company) to form part of the site of a £60 million sewage treatment works.
The owner of the site was erroneously convinced that his site was worth about £4 million. In fact, a second year valuation student would have known the correct answer was about £250k but he was convinced.
In order to make it go away, I offered him £1 million in cash for the site. He refused. I had our legal department serve papers on him to refer the matter to the Lands Tribunal in Chancery Lane.
We hired barristers, KPMG for forensic accountancy and Jones Lang LaSalle for valuation reporting. A 14 day hearing ensued.
Outcome? Lands Tribunal agree with me, award him £250,000 and my employer's costs bill circa £500,000.
Remember - at the beginning I offered him £1 million in cash....!

I hope you spent the left-over £250k on women, booze and a fancy car, and that you didn't just fritter it away.😆
Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Gobsmacked. My mind’s eye had an older cat loving Dutch man.
Reminds me of the old Kinks song.

Doesn't annoy me, rather it's more amusing: TV1 news taking a 'live' cross from their reporter who is reporting from inside the same news room, or just outside on the balcony overlooking Hobson St.

Those of us familiar with Viz will be well aware what you'd say to that! 😂
