Outcome? Lands Tribunal agree with me, award him £250,000 and my employer's costs bill circa £500,000.

Remember - at the beginning I offered him £1 million in cash....!

I hope you spent the left-over £250k on women, booze and a fancy car, and that you didn't just fritter it away.😆

We got nothing. The CP rules require that you pay your valuation up front before the dispute is heard. He spent that on legal fees and the land was owned by a limited company and that was the only asset - which we already legally owned anyway!

Upshot it cost my employer £750k but that was still cheaper than any other outcome - it just took a lot longer and involved many more people...!

Ford Connect

Love this app that comes with my new car but can't understand why it won't let me check my tyre pressures in PSI without changing my distance UoM to Miles. I get metric vs imperial but it allows me to set temperature to Farenheight or weight to Pounds while still keeping distance in kilometres but as soon as I try to change tyre pressure to PSI it sets distance to miles.

Who measures tyre pressure to kilopascals?

Well I have to hand it to Ford, this issue is now fixed!  When I first posted this I submitted a review on the iOS App Store detailing the issue. No reply was received but yesterday my Ford Connect app received an update and low and behold I can now see my tyre pressures in PSI while keeping all of my other metrics (distance, temperature) in metric.

Well done Ford.

Am I the A-hole?

I go to the New World bakery and spy a tasty looking B.L.A.T. and I ask the lady behind the counter for a BLAT. "A what?" she says. "A BLAT", I repeat, pointing to said item. She bags it for me and says "B - L - A - T", saying every letter separately as if I'm some kind of moron.

Oh I'm sorry, was I speaking in code? Is a BLAT such an obscure item that you don't know what it is even if you sell the damn thing?

AITA?

Uh, perhaps you should read the article. He complained about the ticket as he believed it was unjustified, and the customer service person raised a formal complaint about his actions to the council's chief executive. The lawsuit is absolutely nothing to do with the parking ticket, it's because he believes the inquiry that resulted in him being censured was flawed and he should not have been penalised over it.

Whoops! Stand corrected. Quite clearly I did not read the end of the article...

I think he is a Pratt, failed mayor candidate over many many elections. Must hurt his ego that he repeatedly fails to win.
Never seems to actually seem to do anything constructive.
Multiple complaints against his behavior over many years...
Of course its a multi year conspiracy against him...

The abuse against staff, the song and pony drama about him and mask mandates, tickets.

I’ve never heard anyone referring to it as a “blat”. What do you call it when there’s no avocado?

I've heard plenty of people say "blat", and indeed if you sell them then you should be able to recognise the term!

On the bright side, you will be better for your trip home and a tad less likely to catch it again on the way over.

Really? I wouldn't even google the menue or the opening hours for that. But I'm sure there are those who are so hip and think it's worthwhile for everyone to elevate increasing stupidity to status and cultivate it (and gladly pay for it).

No...It’s a CO SAGY

Cold sausage and gravy, not brown sauce :)
