Behodar:I've heard plenty of people say "blat", and indeed if you sell them then you should be able to recognise the term!
They were actually saying blyat, specifically "cyka blyat!".
Journeyman:
Am I the A-hole?
I go to the New World bakery and spy a tasty looking B.L.A.T. and I ask the lady behind the counter for a BLAT. "A what?" she says. "A BLAT", I repeat, pointing to said item. She bags it for me and says "B - L - A - T", saying every letter separately as if I'm some kind of moron.
Oh I'm sorry, was I speaking in code? Is a BLAT such an obscure item that you don't know what it is even if you sell the damn thing?
AITA?
If there was such a thing as PhD in bacon and avocado-ology then Mrs. Floyd would have one. She confirms blat is indeed the correct term. She suggests that you go and find the manager at the supermarket and insist that the woman who served you be fired immediately.
Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Oh no! This is reserved exclusively for Karen! ;-)

Maybe you should edit your post and remove the racist language?

Apology
Last week I was banished for a racist remark. Because I was banned, I could not apologise or explain myself here. This is my first post since the ban, and I want to issue a heartfelt and sincere apology for the remark.
Racism is evil and stupid and I despise it. The words I used were based on ignorance. I should have realised their racist connotation but I didn’t. I was trying to find words to express my disdain for survivor-type reality TV programmes and those words popped into my head. I should have checked them. I should have known better. I was careless and stupid.
This is an explanation, not an excuse. There can never be an excuse for this kind of thing. The most pernicious form of racism is casual racism, where people are racist in an offhand manner without necessarily intending harm or even consciously realising they are being racist. But this enables racism by normalising it and allowing it to seep into everyday life. People do it literally without thinking about it. That is what I did and I am appalled by it. I am mortified and I am deeply sorry. I should have known better and I didn’t.

I'm annoyed by marketing emails that I am having to unsubscribe to as the result of attending a conference
80% of the unsubscribe links take me to a page where I have to jump through a hoop or two and enter my email "preferences" and email address to receive NO emails from said marketers.
If I'd known of the deluge of emails I'd receive as a result of attendance, I would not have gone.

Mark as spam in that case.
I don't think it's fair to mark all emails as spam straight away. If they have an unsubscribe option and it comes pre-populated with your email address but you have to click [UNSUBSCRIBE] then it's a mild annoyance.
If they require you to login to change an option then yes, it's very annoying. I personally still try to log in if it's a service I use all the time. If not then I might login one time. If anything comes after that then yes, marked as spam.
What's kind of stupid is services that show a page with "Unsubscribed by mistake? Click here to subscribe again"... Yeah, nah.

I get annoyed when I ring up a company to ask for a simple price inquiry and they turn it into a database gathering exercise. What is your email? You don't need to know that!

This is why I have a secondary email address which drops everything straight into quarantine. It's usually quite predictable who is likely to misuse your email address for spamming purposes - events organisers, large tech companies, surveys and competitions, etc.
I only give my main email address to people and organisations who have a really good reason to need to contact me personally, and I am ruthless when it comes to the very limited volume of spam on that account.

Use the '+' feature of email addresses to filter by source. So if your standard throwaway email address is joebloggs@gmail.com then sign up as joebloggs+conferencename@gmail.com, then if you start getting spam at that address blacklist that one address without losing all other email.
Not all mail systems handle '+' correctly, gmail is one that does.

I use numbers since its less likly that they will see it for what it is and strip it off.
For really bad things I used my domain and just delete the address when done so they will reject, but with the loss of free google apps, its become an actual cost to have that account for a few weeks before deleting it.

Had that happen a few years ago for a conference I attended on behalf of my employer. One of those ones where in addition to the various topics under discussion, there were a bunch of vendors present with displays set up, attempting to sell their wares. Following the conference I was swamped with marketing emails from every vendor present.
I complained to the organiser that I considered it was unethical to pass on attendees details without advice or permission. I did eventually get an apology from them in a "sorry you took offence at our actions" kind of way, which I always consider a non-apology, because it puts the focus back on me as the complainer, rather than them as the perpetrator.
