Those damn leaf blowers and every day a different caretaker bullying the neighbourhood with them at 7:00 am. Those were the days when there were only brooms and shovels.

Leaf blowers? It's not autumn in Germany. What are they blowing? Discarded Covid masks?

Those lazy bastards have found out that it's a great way to spread dirt on the pavements and paved areas of the property instead of sweeping it up to shovel it away. It's much quicker, of course.

Speaking of leaf blowers - lawn mowing people that cut the neighbour's grass without a catcher and blow the clippings all over the place (as long as the person that's paying them gets a nice tidy looking property).

grrr...

Something (a recent update?) is causing Firefox to crash every now and then (happened three times in a week). The really annoying thing is that when this happens, it takes all its cookies with it and I have to re-log into everything.

Geektastic:

The aesthetically awful way in which they connect heated towel rails in NZ.

I saw a beautifully designed towel rail today with the same hideous bit of white cable hanging out of the bottom. Why on earth they cannot use hidden fixings and cables like they do elsewhere in the world, I have no idea.

A +1 isn't enough for this, it deserves a reply.

Plugs that point straight out can be added to this.

That two different computers on Windows 11 22H2 have this error installing this month's update, that there are a lot of reports of this error in both their public forums and the Feedback Hub, and no word from Microsoft:

It was a broken Windows 10 update which caused me to finally wipe everything Microsoft from all my machines. It would spend 2 hours downloading an update (no option to delay or pause), because it was pre-fibre days (2017) this made the internet connection completely unusable for anyone else in my house, then it would force restart to install the update, fail to install the update, revert its changes, and then start downloading the update again. Rinse and repeat, no option to exit or repair.

I installed Fedora 26 and have successfully upgraded 10 versions (a new version every 6 months or so, about the same as Win10 cadence) without error and am now on Fedora 36.

No problems here. Have you tried temporarily disabling any add-ons to see if the problem persists?

Speaking of... last week when out for a run I saw a lady using a leaf blower to blow all the leaves off her driveway and the berm outside her house onto the road and into the gutter, where they will predictably block the drain...

I dont understand why its allowable to have trees that shed litter all over the place and not clean it up, but to leave paper in the same places isnt allowed. If you're in an urban area and insist on having trees then you should be requred to clean and dispose of the waste that they generate.

Am I the only one here that finds this to be a very strange statement?

It is a strange statement if you cut away the rest of the text that made it mean something completely different.

Plenty of examples of that though - I can destroy your dog if it's worrying my sheep, but not your cat if it's on my property killing native birds.

This! Especially when the neighbour's lawn is almost entirely a collection of weeds! The mowing contractors are trying to cut as many lawns in a day as possible, without any regard at all for neighbouring properties.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.
