In my experience with Amazon always expect 0.5-1KG extra shipping weight then you calculate.

Use shipito and they will repack for you. DHL is slightly more than you shops rates but the repack and consolidate make it cheaper

Just an FYI that Microsoft have now tagged Youshop as a reshipper and under their policy now suppress any orders that ships to the US address. Apparently we are supposed to buy through the NZ store regardless of the fact that they do not sell hardware

Well, if it was software IMO that would give you rights to pirate it, but as its hardware ;(

Try screwing around with the address, neighbouring zip codes, putting in apartment instead of suite, changing what lines the address is on etc. Things like that have worked on an over-anal makeup place for a friend.

Use ship2u instead, and you won't need any coupon codes ;-)

Quacko, how much cheaper do you find ship2u to be than YouShop?

Well the quoted prices are usually about 30-40% cheaper for ship2u.

Sounds promising. NZ post is just so slow with reshipping which is my biggest complaint. Second is that they don't repack or consolidate on request.

shipito will take photos of things, remove the items from retail packaging if you request it and split parcels up into multiples if you want which I have found very handy.

One problem with ship2u is their address is in California, which means you get stung with taxes.

I've not tried shipitto yet, but it looks like they only provide those services if you pay a monthly fee. It's only worth it if you're ordering a lot.

Noob question- I want to get a good or genuine battery for my Asus laptop from Amazon. Will Youshop ship it? Thanks.
