The wait time to speak to a human at a bank.

Re-fixing the mortgage (a couple of months too late to take advantage of the lower rates that were on offer) and I wait for 45min, before I decide I'll take the option to "keep your place in the queue and receive a call back from one of our staff".

The following day, I get a call back. Surely I wouldn't have been waiting for 16 hours on hold?

All for the pleasure of fixing my rate so that I can only pay $250 a fortnight more than I was. Thank god we aren't on the bones of our proverbial a$$es.

I do wonder what poor first home or low deposit borrowers would be doing right now, as their affordability goes right out the window.

Also - quote for replacing the gutters on our house.

Estimate: $12k. Quote received: $16k. That's quite a difference.

Neither.

We're replacing Taylor Fascia/Internal Gutters with new flush fascias and external gutters.

Help stop the leaks associated with Taylor Fascia gutters. Gutters themselves are Colorsteel Maxx 1/4 round with external brackets.

At the risk of being berated for not staying at home and being a hermit, I still go to work every day. I catch a bus, I wear a N95 mask and pretty much all passengers are masked.

My complaint, perhaps less relevant now given ridership is down, are those passengers who wear back packs and then walk down the bus aisle swivelling their bodies oblivious to the potential for the bags to hit another unsuspecting passenger standing or sitting in aisle seat.

Exactly, take the blooming thing off and walk with it in your hand !

This also applies to me being 197cm and walking down the street with people and their umbrellas. If they even get close these days I just push them aside. The umbrellas, not the people !

My local New World has done away with baskets.  You have to use a trolley or the reusable shopping bags you have brought with you.   A bit useless for hopeless individuals like myself that don't carry shopping bags with them.

I actually don't have a problem with that - although being shorter (176cm) I am quite conscious of taller people maybe being at eye-height of my Blunt Umbrella canopy.

That's the problem right, people think lifting their hand a couple of inches is enough, but it just puts the corners into my neck or worse my face.

A friend who is disabled had two of their tyres deflated by these clowns that are going around deflated SUV tyres. She was parked in a mobility park with the mobility permit clearly visible and her small SUV has a wheel chair hoist on the roof. She was left having to wait in town after dark for her road side assist folk to come out and fix her tyres. These clowns need to be found and stopped. Putting vulnerable folk at risk a a criminal activity. She now feels very nervous about going out. This infuriates me considerably.

Unconscionable. Stupid stupid people thinking they know better and that gives them the right to do this kind of thing. Throw the book at these selfish self-centred morons.

Completely agree with this sentiment.

They think their cause is greater than the needs of someone like this, who is left vulnerable and afraid, as a result of this disgraceful behaviour.

Makes me so mad.

Out of curiosity, did she get a satisfactory response from the police?

With all the media attention, along with the safety risk, I would hope that there is increasing pressure on them to catch and prosecute these people.

F▒▒▒ing idiots.

Agreed. When I replied to a news hub article about them needing to be deflated with a brick someone reported it as hate speech or something and I got a warning from facebook for it. Grrr.

Sounds like the same kind of idiots here who sawed through high hunting seats out of misunderstood protest, thereby approvingly accepting the deaths of hunters, but at the same time loudly complain that the game population is increasing uncontrollably (in some cases by a factor of 3 within the last 10 years) and that traffic accidents involving game and total loss have risen sharply. Instead of helping the community, they prefer to make life difficult for those who are already using their free time and labour.
