invisibleman18:

The barrage of questions you get when selling something second hand for a few dollars on Marketplace or similar. It's as if people expect something for $10 to be brand new when an equivalent new one is 10 times the price or more. Appreciate you want to know what you're buying but some of the questions are frustrating.

Further to this, it's also very frustrating how often someone asks if something is available (or for some other detail about the thing) and you reply almost immediately that it is and ask if they are interested, then they never reply again. What was the point of asking if you were never interested? Or do people just enjoy going through listings and being a timewaster? Had one last night that asked for some extra measurements and photos so I went away and did them straight away then they didn't reply back. "Sorry, not interested" shouldn't be that hard.

I wouldn't have thought a stuffed toy kangaroo would make that much noise.

Had lunch with my wife today. Not only were the couple next to us talking so loudly the entire place could hear the conversation, every and I mean EVERY, sentence the woman spoke was littered with "like".

I was like, he was like, it was like, like, I mean like, you know like.

I've spent years trying to talk our kids out of doing it as many of their friends do it. But this was, I would guess a mid/late-20s, woman with most sentences having four or more likes in it.

By the sounds of the conversation and the body language we guessed they were on a date. He had is head in his hand as she spoke non-stop. If it was me I would've paid the bill and left.

Sometimes it's kinda cute watching a first date at the table next to you, but at other times you really have to suppress the urge to rush over and save one of them.

That I enjoy the Menulog ad on TV.

I'm a grumpy middle-aged man for goodness' sake.  I'm not even supposed to know who Katy Perry is, let alone like one of her jingles.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

I think that was covered under "I still watch broadcast TV" 😁

More shrinkflation - although to be fair, I'm really not sure how old the tin on the left actually is.

Given the odd quantity, it could be just an americanisation of volume/mass as an artefact of the sale of Kiwi to S.C.Johnson, note also the rebranding on the right-hand one.

Interestingly the barcode of the 50g tin is the same as that on the 38g tins (if you look at the new world website)

Don't talk to me about shrinkflation -

Entering "usb-c charger" in the search field on the flybuys store shopping page causes the webpage to crash .

Guessing they don't like the '-', pretty poor.
