I have full speed fibre. Yes I have a gaming laptop as well as a gaming PC.....it would be great if the pings can be even lower on LOL!!!
What is your current broadband connection (xDSL, fibre, satellite, dial-up) and do you have a gaming setup
My current internet is fibre, and my gaming setup is currently an old office chair, a cheap mouse and a computer that's nearly 10 years old.
How would a Fibre Pro connection improve your gaming?
It would certainly decrease my latency!
ZL2TOY/ZL1DMP
Currently with Vodafone max fibre.
I need that pc for an emulation station. My current setup is umm...

Skinny fibre, does the job.
Here is my "gaming setup"
How would a Fibre Pro connection improve your gaming?"
Faster internet would turn me into a pro gamer, enable a new career and millions of dollars..... Hopefully ;)
"What is your current broadband connection (xDSL, fibre, satellite, dial-up) Fibre 100mbps
Do You have a gaming set up? Recently built a gaming PC
How would a Fibre Pro connection improve your gaming? Just purchased xbox game pass and ea play. With limited SSD space, I am constantly deleting and reinstalling games. A faster connection would mean I can do this a lot quicker, that'd be so helpful!
I have a Fibre connection with Spark - its the max speed they give for residential BB. Seems fast enough, but could be better right?
I do not have a gaming setup, but have a laptop that can handle games at semi reasonable settings.
A Fibre Pro connection will help my gaming a lot! Faster internet speed = more energy for me. The internet will flow through my veins!
With Spark 100/20, fibre pro would allow me to get games in minutes rather than a few hours and allow us to have strong wifi in all the house. Big win.
Slingshot Fibre, Gigabyte P15 'gaming' Laptop - GTX 950M
Free Orcon for a year? I could buy a new Laptop with more oomph!
I have Orcon Fibre Pro (800 down / 500 up and with the Google wifi extenders included from Orcon) with multiple different devices in the house making use of it (no wonder things turn to chaos if the connection drops for some reason!)
Devices that are relying on the connection include:
In retrospect, after putting that list together it's not that surprising that chaos ensues when the connection has issues.
While the Orcon plan upgrade might not make a huge difference to our current connection, I am sure I could get a bunch of household chores done with that sweet gaming kit as potential rewards!
Actually maybe I would use the gaming chair myself, but all the other kit. Yes please!
Thanks Orcon, you rock.
I'm on Orcon 300/100 with 1 Google Nest Wifi as I don't really want to pay another $10 a month just for another extender.
Don't have an amazing set-up lol but it does the job.
Fibre Pro would be useful for lower ping to those far away servers and a free extender would be epic (and that 12 months free broadband + the gaming package).
Thanks Orcon and Geekzone :)
Currently running Slingshot 950/500 fibre
Dont know how I would live without fast fibre with 2 gaming computers, X-Box for the kids, 4 tv's streaming Netflix at 4k and just about everything running hard wired on gigabit distribution.
How would a Fibre Pro connection improve your gaming? Dont know, but sounds like a challenge.
What is your current broadband connection fibre and do you have a gaming setup? Yep I do but it's getting on a bit still waiting for graphics cards to come down. How would a Fibre Pro connection improve your gaming?"I'd have left over cash to buy a new card for gaming :-)
Currently on Uber 1Gbps/500Gbps...
Current gaming setup is a bit archaic...
Current broadband connection: MyRepublic Fibre
Gaming setup: Amd athlon (Duke 3d/CS)
Convince the other half that its worth it to upgrade personal setup!!
- Slingshot xDSL
- ROG Zephryus G14 (16+16gb ram, Ryzan 9 5900HS, RTX3060 connected to 42" TV via HDMI.
A fibre connection would help improve my connection to the DOTA2 servers that I play on. It wouldn't make much of a difference though... I'm a massive noob.
