Bought an E14 for wife last year when the old HP finally died. I think the keyboard is really comfortable, the laptop performs well and the price is right. I recommended it to other people before.

I'm looking at it to replace my slowly disintegrating X1 (because of the garbage build quality, not abuse, black plastic paint - not carbon fibre - blistering, keys stuck, etc, there's lots of complaints over this if you Google it), I just keep wondering what the catch is when on paper it's better in every way except weight than their flagship model.

Withdrew cash from an ATM this morning. Half way though the stack the cash switched from bird side-up to face side-up, and the bottom two notes were rotated.

At least it didn't withhold them. ;-)

I'm afraid the days of all notes in a stack/bundle being the same way up and aligned the same way are long gone...

Looking at buying something that's vastly cheaper in AU than here, find a seller that covers both AU and NZ. The instructions are to put the item in the cart, enter your details, and you'll be told what the shipping to NZ is. Go through the rigmarole and get presented with the only shipping option for NZ: Store pickup.

Bought a "1200x1980" pair of wardrobe doors that don't fit in a 1200x1980 door frame.

Like buying net curtains that are always a bit too long and just have to trail over the floor.

Or (not) like buying 5 4K Spider-man movies and 3 of them won't (gosh darn it) rip.

These are sliding doors. The ones I'm replacing are 1920 tall, with the mechanism taking up the other 60 mm. These ones are a full 1980 tall and they apparently expect you to enlarge the frame to fit the mechanism in!

Looking for a park, there were 2 empty parks left in the carpark on a busy day. Old lady in front of me parks in both of them, half and half in each park, completely stopping me from using one of them.

She was really really old, looked at me before shuffling off, knew she'd blocked me out but didn't care thought she has some kind of old ladies pass to be inconsiderate.

We have a very elderly, very incontinent dog that has regular accidents right at the door to go outside, where the curtains are. I went round and hung the curtains using the next hook up so that they are now 1 cm above the floor, so that we don't have to deal with washing dog pee out of them.

At Bunnings waiting for someone to laboriously relocate their Remuera tractor two car parks closer to the door (literally two parks!) while holding up anyone from entering or leaving the carpark.

I was behind someone at a self-serve kiosk yesterday who took so long to get her card out of her purse that not only did the timeout on the card reader expire, but also the "do you want to retry?" screen expired. The other kiosk then became available so I used that, and she was still faffing around by the time I had fully completed the process.

Probably at the point where she should no longer be driving. It's very hard for some elderly people to admit that they no longer have the skills to drive and park properly. Went through this a few years ago with my elderly Dad. Took him having an accident (fortunately no one hurt) before we could convince him he needed to give it up.

She might be perfectly able to park but there's not enough room for her to get out of the car. She's not as senile as you think

That no matter what you do with lapsang souchong tea, it still tastes and smells like something that fell out of a flue.
