Buggy software. I just found that in our ticketing system, if someone else adds a comment to a ticket while you're typing a comment yourself, then it'll clear the box you're typing into and delete your comment.

MS Outlook.

I've recently moved into a new position in the same company. I've gone through my calendar and declined all of the recurring meeting invites that are no longer relevant to my new role. However every time the meeting originator reschedules or sends a meeting update I have the recurring meeting reappear in my calendar which I have to decline, again & again. Why can't I just permantly decline a recurring meeting, never to be informed of an update or reschedule again!

That "News" sites repeat so many articles multiple times on the same page which ends up making the page at least three times bigger than it needs to be!

Do they think you will read it because they are trying to ram it down your throat?

Bung: She might be perfectly able to park but there's not enough room for her to get out of the car. She's not as senile as you think

No excuse to be selfish and taking 2 parks. If they have issues there are mobility parks for a reason.

Then there's not enough room for her to park. Doesn't give her the right to be disrespectful and selfish.

No, it's more surface area for ads and more keywords into Google for click bait.

Endless scrolling on everything making the links in the footer inaccessible.

My pet hate is when eCommerce websites do this, so you can't get to pages like "Shipping Information", "Help and Support" and "Contact Us".

Probably not the answer you're looking for; but you do need to email the meeting originator(s), and ask them to remove your email address from the meeting(s); otherwise, yes, outlook will continue to receive and process the updates...

Yes, that's what I will have to do. I'll prepare myself now for some of the snotty responses I am likley to get from colleagues.

This sort of thing is also hugely widespread in web-based systems that allow text entry, to the point where if I'm on a site where I'm not familiar with its functionality I'll compose messages in a text editor and paste them into the text box just in case it gets lost, deleted, or misfiled by the site.

Come across this twice on TM and The Warehouse's support pages

Character limit on the contact form, why is this even a thing?

I tried to report broken category links on TW's desktop site and could barely explain the issue/fix and post 2 urls before hitting the character limit.

ie

Hi Team, a bunch of links on the product pages on the desktop site are broken

ie on this page

https://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/p/greens-chocolate-brownie-mix-380g/R2674233.html

ie clicking Food & Drink, Pantry, Baking or Bakery Mix leads to a bad url

https://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/search?cgid=foodhouseholdpets-fooddrink-pantry-bakingcooking-bakerymix-1

removing the -1 at the end works as intended.

Thats too long to send them, it's a joke. Tm is similiar when you had a bad experience with a buyer/seller with only a few hundred characters.

Probably at the point where she should no longer be driving. It's very hard for some elderly people to admit that they no longer have the skills to drive and park properly. Went through this a few years ago with my elderly Dad. Took him having an accident (fortunately no one hurt) before we could convince him he needed to give it up.

Yeah, my elderly dad voluntarily gave up driving.

He has a small bump, because he couldn't see well. Went and got checked and was all clear to drive! He said that frightened him enough to give it away - he felt he was a danger to others and if there were others on the road like him, he didn't want a piece of it.

He has been pretty philosophical about it and mum drives occasionally. But they get buses and shuttles everywhere, so are pretty happy.

This

So sick of kids beating other kids up brutally.

I grew up in the 70's. We had scraps. It's not a new thing. It's the way they are doing this that sickens me.

Video it. Make it truly brutal. Gang up on some less capable or physical kids.

It's so wrong and it really gets me.
