It’s almost like that’s the point of capitalism. The profit motive does not exclude customer service. Profit is enhanced by service.

Their searches are hopeless too and half the time goods in store are not even on the website.
... and vice versa. Have gone to a Warehouse store to buy stuff that's showing online as being in stock at a specific store - then when you get there, there are none in stock.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I've lost count of the number of times I have had something like that happen - not just at The Warehouse. Briscoes and Rebel Sport are really bad for that too.
Handsome Dan Has Spoken.
Handsome Dan needs to stop adding three dots to every sentence...
Handsome Dan does not currently have a side hustle as the mascot for Yale

Not always. It can be but it depends if customers value service or prefer a cheaper price.
Losing a customer because of price does not exclude good service. The way one wins back a customers is how you conduct the loss, the win back starts at the loss.

Why do we get so screwed on everything? Are we on an international sucker list or something?
Dont forget that those doing the ripping off then cry that its not fair when people go around them and buy from overseas and then get laws passed that make us have to pay GST on things to make it "fair" and still keep ripping us off.
If you think the toothbrushes are bad, look at the pricing of replacement ends for them. Absurd.

And blade Razors, it's cheaper to buy the packs with the Razor and blades than it is to buy the blades. It just generates needless landfill waste
Stage Manager on MacOS, a pointless change that solves nothing, thankfully it can be turned off.

That's because these lazy places are selling online and click and collect orders from the shop floor stock instead of a dedicated online warehouse, so they have no idea what will be taken by people and either stolen or sold.
Kmart is the worst for this. Their cart will tell you things are not available because one store doesn't have the whole cart contents, so you break it into multiple orders so that it will go thru (adding other things to get to the free shipping amount) - and then the order gets broken up into multiple shipments anyway because the store they thought had them in stock didn't have anything.

Another example. Wallpaper from a company called 1838 in the UK. To buy a roll in the UK is 60 pounds, about $115. Their NZ distributor is Resene and a roll is $423.
I can understand a bit of a markup but this is taking the mickey
My son was referred to an ENT specialist in May this year.... the letter from the DHB said 4 month wait. Haven't heard back, just called them, they said there is no guarantee of any date and it might be next year or the next even.
It is more annoying because Labour said no to a new med school in the Waikato, even though there are obvious shortages.
afe66: If you think having a medical school means the waiting list is shorter, Dunedin folk would like to chat.
(it's 15 yrs from starting medical school to becoming a consultant)
Firstly, I never said that, you did.
Secondly, yes, it takes time to train consultants. What is your point? Given we already have a specialist shortage, and that demand is only increasing, that it is not prudent to increase the capacity of medical schools?
Here we go again with Microsoft not bothering to test things. The "move column" feature in Azure DevOps no longer works until you reload the page, and that's a feature that you use all the time.
