Just got Amazon prime to watch the expanse season 4, but got sidetracked on The Boys. Very good, with two main characters kiwi.

Watchmen - Found on occasions a little slow but was an intriguing story. So disappointed to get to the series cliffhanger ending only to find out it has been cancelled with no plans to make any more. 7/10.  Still worth a watch.

Not cancelled. It was a one and done.

Other than Karl's accent, I also thought The Boys was pretty good. Better than what I thought it would be, anyway.

I see Amazon Prime has a new TV series "TreadStone" starting on January 7th. This is based on the Jason Bourne novels & films.

So far it is trending in the 7/10 on IMDb.

I've seen Treadstone, the first few episodes anyway.  Wasn't for me.

Oh so it is going to go the same way that the Jack Ryan series has for me. I have the last to episodes of series one to watch but I am in no hurry to do so. Maybe on a slow viewing night I will finish it. As for series 2 don't know yet.

Hope Treadstone doesn't do the same for me. ☹️

PS: I will be watching Farscape on Amazon again though. Enjoyed it when it was FTA in Aussie in the early 2000's.

Yep, the first season of Jack Ryan started with a hiss and a roar, but ended up so disappointingly, going the same way of so many US network shows - bombastic, farcically patriotic, and ridiculous.

Clearly we hadn't learned our lesson as we watched season two as well; guess what? A matter of rinse and repeat, again with a strong start but descending to the pits of trash.

I know the source material isn't known for its subtlety and liberalism, but I didn't find any of the Jack Ryan movies nearly as bad. And I have also found this real lack of subtlety is common to many Prime original programmes. People write of a Netflix sameness, but personally I prefer their approach to that of Amazon.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars

On Disney. Love it. Yoda so cute as a baby.

Boba Fett was fav Star Wars figurine and character. Even though he is not technically Mandalorian he wears the armour of Mandalore.

Sun Trek who? Another 1 up for Star Wars :-)

Going through American Gods - finished season 1 last week and on to season 2 now. Just... weird, but interesting.

Came here to rave about this too! I was totally blown away. Unsurprised that it's from the Sherlock people, though I didn't know that till I read it here.

I found the last episode wanting, in a huge way. The first two were brilliant though.

Binged on Happy showing on Netflix. Brilliant funny and solid all the way. Weird at first but stick with it. Can’t wait for season 2. Highly recommended.
