outdoorsnz:But then I cringed when a d**khead decides to pass bus, stock truck and trailer plus two cars, semi blind corner, drizzle spray getting chucked up, reduced visibility and passing lane only 1km away. Why bother!

Because he's (Assuming it was a him) fed up with living and is in a hurry to die?

Maybe the one he hits is not!

People in Mall parking lots.... FFS there are lines painted on the roading surface, they give clear indications as to what you can do.

Where you can park, saw one dipstick park in the middle of the lane to get out and pay her parking ticket , obviously that was the sane choice rather than pay for it before you went to your car.

People who go the wrong way in one way parts of the carparks

People who park and sit in their car by the entrances because the passenger "won't be long"

People who park in disabled carparks

People who think teenagers qualify them to use parks reserved for parents with young children

People who drive too fast....there are small kids and yes they do stupid things, killing someones child is right at the bottom of my "to do" list.

Palmerston North...it's 365 days a year.

IIRC some years back per head of population Palmy had the most intersection crashes in NZ, the next was Chch with 1/2 the number.

Insurance companies and other companies, whose agents just stop replying, because they don't have any good news.

Just contact me and tell me you're still working on it. Or tell me it's not happening.

A little honesty and responsiveness is all I am asking for.

Sigh...I guess I'll be talking to the Ombudsman after all.

This also describes a good portion of Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

Went to a travel agent to get assistance booking some flights that proved too complex online.

That was Monday. “I’ll ring you on Wednesday.”

No call. I ring her today.

“Oh she only works Monday, Wednesday and Friday.”

Sorry if I inconvenienced her by wanting service on a Thursday.

Bonus points to you for wisely using a travel agent.

Did they even offer to assist in their absence?

That's definitely one of my top annoyances - businesses who don't call back as promised.  Every time it happens it triggers the Vodafone parts of my brain and I find myself speaking in my Vodafone voice and if someone does promise a call back those same parts get a light tickle prompting me to ask for their name, expected time frames, what to do if things don't go to plan etc etc

**shudder**

Is it an NZ endemic problem as a side effect of the Kiwi 'she'll be right' attitude?  We just don't do customer service very well; as if everyone is your neighbor and 'familiarity breeds contempt'?

No they didn’t offer to help. Had to wait until next day.

I think people here have a big chip on their shoulders because they tend to conflate (mistakenly) service and servant/servile.

Websites - looking at you GWN Cloud - that put those pop up things to explain the new menu bits but who fail to test them.

I now cannot access that site on an iPhone because the pop ups won’t clear and the entire right hand side of the web page is not accessible.
