didnt read any of the previous posts did you? its the parts manual which is not what they wanted
Damn! You're right. I'm sorry. The heading said user guide and I just assumed that is what it was. Didn't look closely enough. I'll try again.

Yep, the parts list is everywhere (I've found 20+ copies on different sites). I suspect that one site uploaded it as a "user manual", and everywhere else copied it without looking at it. Even when I put "-parts" in search criteria, I still just get multiple copies of that same document.
That's what I have also discovered. There are several links to the 'user' manual in the Wayback machine but they all come out to the parts manual or to blank pages. For whatever reason, that user manual just doesn't exist. Don't ever buy Fisher and Paykel, I guess. Anyway, I give up. Sorry I couldn't help.

Chatting with Bricoes online. Ask for a price match. They refuse because MightyApe is an online only retailer.
Briscoes aren't an online ONLY retailer but I was chatting with their online team about an online purchase.
They lost $300 of sales because of a dumb policy.

to be fair, i dont think they will care.
and also its clear on their site what you can use as a price match. "This applies to New Zealand retailers but excludes warehouse, clearance outlets and online only retailers."

They may not care, but it's a dumb loss of revenue from them over a dumb policy. It's like they still exist in the 2000's.
Their loss.
It annoys me.

Yes it is odd as Ive googled for manuals before, and while you do get "these" sites, Ive always found one

To be fair (and not criticising your stance) If they caved into you, more will follow. Better to annoy the 2% and make hay off the other 98
Briscoes, their strategy is quite good, albeit not honest. BIG SALE, the masses flock to it. The other 13 days (between one off or annual sales), they get buyers at full price (as Briscoes is like Pak N Save) But its not

I think they should cave to everyone, not just me. I think it's a dumb and short-sighted policy that loses them business and inconveniences shoppers. I could understand not competing with an *overseas* retailer, like Amazon, or AliExpress, but another business within NZ that holds stock in NZ?
What do they gain by the policy? I won't buy their stuff at the higher price, I'll go elsewhere.
The coverage of the Billionaire who started a fire on his own property with fireworks. Idiots unintentionally start fires all over NZ all year long, and it doesn't make the top page of the Herald. It's only because he is a Billionaire it's getting airtime.
If there is a mechanism to sue him for the callout of the fire department, then use it and get the money, if not, then it's a failure of the authorities to build in some protections.
