I should have also mentioned in my case that I don't wear high-quality running shoes but cheap Chinese sneakers for which sizes are more like the Pirate Code - I've had 10's that feel like 8's when put on and have had to get alleged-12s in some cases for them to fit properly.

Our household pretty much buy Asics exclusively. Available everywhere and a 10.5 US will be the same everywhere in the world, I can buy online with assurance they will fit, and often discounts make them very cost effective.

I've never heard of such a thing. I'd be alarmed.

Rain has stopped here too, which is nice, kids are super excited to go to the beach though surf lifesaving aren't operating today because the rips are everywhere!

Heh, same.  Found a model that works, why change?

Just did a stock take.  Currently 12 pairs of ASICS.  All bar two pairs are Fuji-Trabuco in the various models from the last few years.  Ranging in status from "still in the box" to "for painting use only".

The joys of Ultra marathon training.  You do the distance and chew through the usable life of 3-4 pairs of shoes a year.

What was your address again? Burglar alarm or any dogs on the property?

I own about 5 pairs of jandals in case that helps.

Despite the fact I don't run (unless something is chasing me) I have never found anything from Asics more comfortable than the Kayanos. I have flat feet and pronate heavily, and despite the cost, they are fantastic. The latest versions use a foam I absolutely love.

Not great, they feel more tropical storms will hit as well. Here in ChCh its bone dry as usual. But at least I can manage my water.

Hope you get some dry weather, sooner than later, and a run of it

To clarify, of those 12 pairs, only two are new, one pair in box, one pair just started their journey to destruction yesterday.  The rest are at least 500km old, so thrashed.  Do you really want them?  :-P

Many years ago, we had some electronic equipment to send Christchurch to Auckland - Same Day.

Air NZ freight cost was 3 times what it cost for me to fly AirNZ with it as carry-on, including my employers charge out rate for my time there and back!

Pack & Send can actually do reasonable prices provided you avoid getting into the Mainfreight weight range, from memory I paid around that much to send a pallet of stuff from Christchurch to Auckland, and that was both bigger and much heavier than 12kg.
