Freaken hell, Pizza Hut

Email, $25 deal, pickup, suits me. Why did they send it to me? As I have an account. Click it, go to a new account or sign on page, ok, ill sign in as I have an account. Only option is sign in with Google, but my login is not Google. Ok sign in with Google, so it sends me a code, get that go back to the tab, and the tab now shows logon or sign in with google not the verification code page. Gave up after a while so went to Pizza Hut page not via the email

The deal is now $35 delivery no mention of the $25 pickup.

Forget it.

Get a real IT guy to sort it out Pizza Hut.

So I "setup" an account using the usual non google email address. There is already an account with that email address. Yea as its MINE. But I cannot logon with MINE as you dicks only offer a Login with Google.

Done with it. Haven't had PH for a while, always easy, but I cannot login anymore as my non Google logon isnt an option. I work in IT I see lots of knowledgeable people and lots of cowboys. Pity PH uses cowboys.

OMG so for a laugh I go to PH website and lo and behold im now logged is as my non Google login. Sweet. Meal deals $35 delivered, but I was sent $25 pickup. To the same email logon.I couldn't care less about the $10 but as Im going out anyway, I'll go and grab something else. I have pretty low tolerance for this incompetence, as I, at work or at play, get plenty of capable and polite people and businesses to deal with, so no dice here.

This is the same place that has a phone number field with "e.g. 021 123 4567" that then complains if you put spaces in the number. And until a year or so ago, the payment icon had a picture of a wallet with "£" on it.

Would not surprise me. I could log a complaint, so their template system replies...

Its about customer service, or in this case, what I was emailed. Irregardless of the login issues, when I am logged in with MY email adores that they emailed me, the deal isnt there

Today I took my trailer tyre to Beaureapaires to get them to replace the tubeless valve that perished. I only went there as when I bought a Honda Fit as my go to golf car, I wanted a proper spare tyre not the powered goop they provide. Got that at a wrecker went to BR to get them to fit the tyre to the rim. 15 minutes and free, thats customer service. You would think in todays world, looking after people wins. It does, for some businesses

More buggy online shopping stuff. Fortunately just incorrect wording this time rather than something more serious.

I bought something using the balance on an existing account and the confirmation page said "your credit card was charged successfully". I didn't even use a credit card!

HOW ?

Sorry about dinner, but with the ongoing egg shortage the chickens were required for other tasks.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

My brand new laptop has been bsod'ing. Have Lenovo premium support and Vantage which is supposed to keep it up to date. Vantage says I am up to date. Support tells me to update manually. Go there. All the updates show release date of March through May 2022. Isn't until you expand it shows, there are updates as late as Mid December for my device!!!!

I'm reminded of a different experience with them. Went to Beaurepaires a couple of years ago to get some new tyres prior to my WOF check as I knew they were going to fail. They did a few other checks and told me my battery had failed and tried to sell me a replacement. As it had only been replaced by AA less than a year earlier I said I'd get AA to check it as it would still be under warranty.

Called AA and they came and checked it and the guy said it was perfectly fine. Looked at the printout and said Beaurepaires had done the wrong test for this type of battery and were probably just trying to sell me a new one. As someone who knows nothing about cars, if it hadn't been new and under warranty I wouldn't have known any better. Maybe it was an honest mistake but will try someone else next time. I emailed them to let them know this had happened and they never replied. Guess YMMV with different branches. They also tried to charge $60 to polish the headlights which I declined - the place that did the WOF did it for $15.

Alas, it seems to be a problem throughout the industry. My home Mac popped up a notification on the weekend for a security update (which, according to Apple's website, was actually released almost a month ago). I tried to do the same update on my work machine but it says it's up to date even though it isn't.

Its bit like "the staff at Westpac are terrible" Well, the people at Westpac that were terrible but they are people, who could be employed anywhere. Yes, I hear what you are saying, but that also applies to every business, or person for that matter.

Polish headlights? If they are cloudy as UV has eroded them, that would not be cheap to fix, they have to be polished a few times to carve away a layer of plastic. The boy spraying polish and buffing it for $15, not quite the same.

IMO its the people at XYZ Ltd at any point of time that do good or not so good

Simple, like any other place could run out. Firstly you've got a notoriously perishable item that you can't stockpile too much of, and then all it takes is drivers off due to Covid or power lost in a refrigerated storage area for long enough that the stock has to be tossed (I'm sure that happened on the east coast recently) or a sports event that led to ten times the usual number of customers and now you're out of stock.

Edited to add: It also depends when you go there, first thing after they open and an hour or so before they close is usually a bad time because opening/closing is scheduled for low-traffic times when the few staff on then are either bringing everything up or busy cleaning before closing down for the night. If you went there half an hour before closing they probably weren't actually out but had sold out the stock still in the warmers and had the cookers disassembled for cleaning.

True. I may have just got one incompetent or poorly trained (or perhaps dishonest) staff member that may not represent the entire business. However, on the customer service point it was disappointing the office didn't reply which suggests to me they didn't care. It was a monitored email address as I'd booked online and they replied to a question I'd asked prior to the appointment. I didn't frame it as a complaint or accuse them of trying to rip me off, just provided the feedback from AA that the wrong test had been performed on that type of battery (the AA guy gave me the names of the different tests and what battery the one they did was for but can't remember those details now) and that I might have replaced something that didn't need replacing if I hadn't known it was under warranty. I'd have expected "sorry to hear that happened, we'll pass that feedback onto the branch" if they were bothered.
