Semble needs to be a rock solid solution and is a full end to end solution that relies on many things to work. BYOD can't necessarily guarantee this right now.
enfield: I am using a Galaxy s6 edge bought from from 2degrees on spark network, would it work if I get a semble sim from spark and the 2degrees app from play store?
stubbed: Which is why the smart solution would have been to cuddle up with Google Wallet/Apple Pay rather than start from scratch with a completely country/provider bespoke solution. Makes me rage. New Zealand used to be at the forefront of this sort of tech, why this was the "smart" way to go I've got no f-ing idea.
stubbed: My issue is, the consumer is the one that gets shafted. You're forced to purchase an NZ retail phone at top dollar, you only get updates at the whim of the Telcos who are generally more interested in pushing the next model, regardless of the hardware/software support your phone may have.

I note that, in an industry where contactless transactions are measured in milliseconds, ANZ are promising their HCE transactions will complete in seconds.
