Anyone know how to get delivery to show up to a collection point ? Can't see it anywhere. I could be blind, or its something else that doesn't apply to the one thing I'm interested in, or you have to register yourself as an IKEA member, or...

depends on the value and obviously size.
after you add to cart, proceed to checkout and you should see click and collect.
on the app it does say to proceed further for possible more options and you will see the collection point availability and estimated collection date range.
being an IKEA member saves some of the fees (about $10 I think).
you just have to make a D about if it’s worth click and collect or just get it delivered.
Yep, go to the next step and you get that option.
Pity the collection point option shows $39 then goes up to $59 when i actually click on it, even though its got my postcode directly above.
Is it definitely same day collection from the point ?

where are you located (outside Auckland)?
You should see an estimated date for collection.
its not same day, they need to ship it to the location then that location will let you know when its ready to collect (or you can keep an eye on the tracking). Allow good time at the collection point as they are mostly mainfreight depots so someone needs to “go out the back” and find your order.
both app and website explain it very well…
Thanks for the info. I'm in BOP btw.
Don't have the app. I looked at some Collection Point FAQs, but they seemed less than extensive.

Having been over the weekend ... I don't get the excitement. Massive range but seemingly low-quality materials. But ... not the price points you'd expect for low quality materials. Sort of reminded me of Nood.

Vastly better for the billys and kallaxes than the competitions similar cubes and shelves. Price seems reasonable to me for what you get compared to others.
The food tho, ugh, not sure why the fuss over that.

Sign up on the website. Makes for much quicker info as you go…
(plus you get the token delivery discount).

I'm currently planning a redesign of our office kitchen using the IKEA planning tool (no idea if there's a specific New Zealand or UK version). There's hardly room for anything more than a tiny submarine kitchen in 7.9 square meters. Unfortunately, there's also no room for a 19" IT rack, unless we do without the refrigerator. Yes, the blue guy it‘s me. 😉

I'd get rid of the stove, and replace the microwave with a dual use appliance such as a microwave and griller/oven combo
Place the rack in the oven slot.
Refrigerators are much too useful not to keep on hand, especially for bulk cooling of over clocked cpu's.
And beersies.
I got rid of my stove. It was rusty, most of the controls would only do off or full blast and the last time I used the oven was ages back when I needed to open a headlight by heating it up. Deep fryer, air fryer and george foreman grill knockoff do all the heat cooking I need. The microwaves do the rest - yes, I have 2 of them because that makes meal prep easier.
Was hoping to use the now freed up 32A feed for a car charger but would need to change the breaker and that means work done on the scary box of what the hell was the last owners thinking.

Well, this microwave is my first ever, and I bought it three days ago – intentionally just a microwave. (By the way, the cheaper ones from Ikea are made by Xiaomi and aren't very good in terms of performance - according to a reputable consumer testing magazine). Mine is from a different manufacturer, but it received a "good" rating at the same price.)
Generally speaking, the kitchen isn't the best place for IT equipment, as the fans suck in all sorts of things in no time and clog them with deadly grease and dust particles. The "idea" was actually just meant as a joke. Or you could get unventilated, ruggedized devices built to MIL standards – that's an option, of course.
OT: I remember a work laptop in a magnesium case for flight testing that had to be used at 30,000 feet in the unpressurized environment at -60°C... with an electrically heated 1.8" hard drive. I would have preferred to have the heaters inside my polar jacket and oxygen mask. 🤣
