unlike the new lost in space, who thought space could be so boring.
Wow, I actually *really* enjoyed S2. I loved S1. I am not sure how you could find it boring?
Will Robinson and Dr Smith are both doing a great job with their roles.
Superstore - I am really liking this series.
Star Trek: Picard, on Amazon/Prime Video.
Damn good start; great to see some familiar characters; looking forward to the rest of the series.

I was about to post a thread somewhere asking where we can watch this in NZ. It's on CBS All Access in the US, and when I checked Amazon Prime in NZ it said it was "not available in your location." Are you using US or NZ Amazon Prime Video?

You have to have a Amazon Prime NZ account and make sure there's no DNS/VPN service pointing to US. The show is not available on Amazon Prime US.

Ok, so it's not enough to just have DNS service turned off? It has to be a Prime NZ account specifically?

Handsomedan: Just started watching The Morning Show on Apple TV+
First episode is pretty good if you like that sort of thing. I’ll certainly watch more.
Yes - really enjoyed it too.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Sorry, can't help further - I'm clearly in the small minority of people who just watch via a standard internet connection - I can't be bothered with trying to bypass GEOlocking as almost everything I (or the family) want to watch is available anyway.
The exception to "almost" being the stupid 30-day rule that ThreeNow has on streaming episodes (and maybe still on TVNZ but I've not been impacted recently); but solutions exist for that too.
Shameless Season 9 - binged on this over the long Auckland Anniversary weekend. Well acted and (still) entertaining but I only watched because my wife was watching it.
Avenue 5 - pilot episode. Juries out on this. Will give it a few more episodes to see if it catches on (only because of Hugh Laurie)
Picard - good start and looking forward to the rest of the series (plus they are moving the ST universe forward rather than backfilling with prequels). I know Patrick Stewart is no spring chicken and while he doesn't look that old he's acting like he's 101 years old. I hope it's an act.
The Good Place - second to last episode. Overall enjoyed the whole concept but am glad it's wrapping up now.
The Mandalorian E1.
I know we're weeks behind most here, but thought we should get on to watching it as we're likely to suspend our Disney Plus account at the end of the school holidays...
Enjoyable programme and the kids loved it (especially baby Yoda, of course), but my concern lay with the image - did anyone else notice how dang dark it was? In some of those scenes (eg, the opening one in the tavern-like place) it was well-nigh impossible to make out any detail, even after changing to a relatively bright picture setting.
I've found there are lots of complaints online along the same lines; some suggested the solution was turning off HDR. Afterwards I found an adjustable setting on our TV (Panasonic OLED) that brightens HDR dark scenes by various degrees so will turn that right up for E2, but it's annoying having to do this for a specific programme (as the standard settings produces fantastic and balanced images on all other HDR content we've watched). I'd have assumed that Lucasfilm/Disney would produce top-quality HDR image so somewhat surprising.
How did others find it?
