Someone in the shop at work that thinks that getting on speakerphone and loudly telling their friend that they're still at the store and its taking ages because we are slow will in any way have a positive outcome for the speed they are served at.

Just in general, people using speakerphone on their calls, holding their phone in front of their chin like a waiter with a small platter. It just makes me want to turn a fire hose on them. Nobody wants to hear your conversations, you morons!

Also people who wander along using their phones as portable "music" speakers, inflicting their lack of taste and refinement on the world at large!

Yeah that one is a guaranteed lose. Even if the choice of music is good, it’s ruined by the tinny sound coming out of the phone speakers.

The price of Kiwifruit lately makes me sad, guess because it's off season?

Don't worry, the kiwifruit part of the recipe will still be far cheaper than the lamb part...

The Kardashians have a lot to answer for, this was a trend that they started.

I believe it was only for the purpose of allowing both sides of the call to be heard by the viewers.  Not for any sort of fashion etc.  So, unusually, for a "practical" purpose not a cosmetic one.

You people know way too much about this 'show'.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

What kind of lowlifes steal from affected flood victims? Some being arrested in Hawkes Bay.
I think some crowd justice would be acceptable in these cases, Chain gang picking up slash comes to mind. My other ideas are likely not legal.

A little public shaming would not be amiss. Alas, I will not be surprised if there there are no serious consequences for the perpetrators, if caught.

While this is truly disgusting behaviour I don't believe "crowd justice" is at all desirable. We don't want to see our society go down that path which I would think the perpetrators of these crimes would see that decline as a badge of honour.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Got an email from Vector the other day saying that they need to upgrade the modem in my meter. The message and FAQ implied that I don't need to do anything; they'll just turn up at some point and swap the modem out.

Today I got another message saying I need to ring them to set up an appointment. Sigh. I wonder what'll happen if I just ignore it...

I made "an appointment" - approximate time actually, for my meter to be apparently be replaced!

Power outages here are a pain. Usually forget a clock to reset, or pond uv filter to restart or.....

Hmm... they claim that this is just a modem replacement and that there won't be an outage, but we shall see!
