The huge number of people walking around with headphones/earphones in, who are oblivious to their environment. It's so dangerous. At least leave one ear for listening for traffic etc..

In the past week, twice I've had people walk out in front of me, and once I had to take evasive action because I could see they were going to.

If I hit them, they are likely dead or badly injured, that's bad for them, but I don't want that on my memory/conscience either even if I bear no responsibility for it.

I concur, not just walking out in front of cars I have had to take evasive action while using my mobility chair. Also trying to get around them in a chair is not always easy and I um unable to their attention. My son suggested I carry a BB gun to get their attention but I feel that would not end well for me although the idea is appealing.

People who think it is cool to black out their headlights and tail lights making them both hard to see and super ineffective.

Obstructing your lights in any way is illegal I believe. I have seen people fined for having excessively dirty headlights back in our farming days!

Also, stupidly dangerous. I'd be *555 that.

It came up recently on one of the policing shows on telly.  It was pointed out that during fog the car wouldn't be seen.

Taking 2 hrs to get to work (17km) and then having IT issues all morning.

Came home - took 1/2hr.

Also - customers. Some are great. Some are not. One has a major issue. It turned out after much questioning and scrutiny to be effectively a non-issue. But before we were able to establish that, it'd already been escalated to a Head-of, who anted an explanation (rightly so).

Over the past few weeks we have been driving in Murcia province here in SE Spain - using Google Maps on my iPhone as GPS. I have been surprised and frustrated at how frequently GM is wrong and inaccurate.

It has frequently directed me to enter the wrong way into one-way streets in towns and cities. In the country it has more than once directed me up unsealed clay tracks that are obviously farmers’ private stock access tracks. Near motorways it has tried to send me the wrong way into on/off slip-roads. At times it seems to confuse itself and sends me five kilometres along a motorway to effectively do a u-turn at the next interchange - and come back down that motorway in the opposite direction (on the other side) - when that wasn’t necessary.

Not only is this frustrating - some of it is downright dangerous. Admittedly we have been using recently-saved off-line maps but I doubt that live maps would be any different.

Today I got fed up with it and switched over to offline HERE WeGo maps which I had downloaded as a backup system. Completely accurate and reliable in the short time I used it today.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I mean at least it doesn't do what Apple Maps used to do, and direct you to drive down a service road and over an active runway onto the tarmac at Anchorage Airport if you wanted to get to the terminal. I would love to have been in the tower listening to planes taxiing with people doing that, because you know some people would blindly follow their navigation guidance! "Tower, this is United 2-3. Did you give clearance to that Ford Escort to taxi across runway 23L?" "Negative United 2-3, hold and do not take off"

Closer to home, I was once provided walking directions by Google Maps that advised crossing SH1 on foot inside the Auckland CBD boundaries, which I'm sure we all agree is a terrible idea.

"Dallas Tower, Delta N303DU, we noticed some sort of dead animal at the end of the runway" / "Delta N303DU, roger, we've notified the catering staff".

I'm annoyed (again) by the weather.

We've had a fairly dry week and I was looking forward to racing in my first Enduro (Mountain Biking) this Sunday.

The location is Riverhead Forest - if anyone knows that part of NZ, they'll know why I am annoyed. Yup - it's rained again.

I do not think I am going to enjoy myself out there...it'll be much like last weekend's efforts at 440...slippery, muddy and off-the-bikey.

Come on Vodafone.nz

Or is that .com

Or is it .co.nz

Not even they know as every day their emails come from all of the above.

I noticed that xtra email wasn't responding in the early hours of this morning. The Spark web site and the App had also stopped.
If Spark has to go off line to make changes is just disappearing the best that they can do?

Copying and pasting a tracking number into a tracking site and watching it fail to find anything, then realising it included a trailing space and said tracking site is too dumb to ignore it.

My phone is starting to get text spam.

I got this one from +64 20 4035 4820

NZ Post here. Your parcel has a customs fee of $4.50. Please visit delivery-schedule-nzpost.com to rearrange delivery. T&Cs apply.

I went onto the website, and sure enough it was a clone, asking for my personal information. For example the links at the bottom of the page didn't work.

So I forwarded it to SPAM (7726). By the way, this works in a lot of countries.

I also did a "whois" and complained to the domain register.

Is there anything else I can do? Are they're laws being proposed in NZ to slow down text phishing?
