Dugimodo:

Binged Locke & Key, enjoyed it. Seemed like a kids series at first but then it didn't.If you like supernatural/fantasy series it's worth a look.

I'm struggling through this at the moment.

There's something about it that I can't gel with...but I am unsure what it is. Possibly the youngest sibling?

The Stranger on Netflix

The Stranger is a British mystery thriller miniseries based on the Harlan Coben novel of the same title.

 I liked it.

Watched Mythic Quest on Apple TV (Free). Ok Office comedy based around the gaming industry. Might end up as good as parks and req or It's always sunny (who a few of the writers and cast are from) when it finds it's feet.

However episode 5 which was somewhat unrelated to the rest of the series was amazing and a must watch. I wish the show had been that rather than what it actually was.

I believe this is an older series now, as my mates all watched it a couple of years ago...

3 seasons out and a new one due soon.

Penny Dreadful on Neon. investigation series set in Victorian London with a supernatural theme.
I've just watched and Enjoyed Episode one and they have encountered zombies/vampires/curse-lings (?)  already while searching for a missing child.

Enjoyed it so far and heard good things so will keep going.

Young Sheldon.

The character development and acting in this show are very under-rated in my opinion. It's seriously good. There really isn't a weak character in the lot of them, even side characters have great stories and are doing their part.

In some ways, Sheldon is less of the main character even though he's the named protagonist.

Being a Big Bang fan, I find it hard to watch, because I know his dad will die at some point and I really like him!

Yeah, I really like him as well.

It's almost unheard of that S2 of any series is going to be better than the first, but it's true of Young Sheldon in my opinion.

Mahon:

Hunters on Amazon is very very good

Upto ep5 and thoroughly enjoying this.

Original scripting, very good acting and cinematography. Though I can see where the controversy from the Jewish community is coming from.

The mid seventies fashions in clothing make me shudder a bit and to think I wore them and thought I was soooo cool and chic.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Jamie Oliver’s ‘vege’ (but not vegan) show currently on TV One on Wednesdays.

I’m by no means a vegetarian, certainly not a TV foodie-show fan (unlike some here on GZ) and haven’t watched JO for probably ten years. However I just happen to have seen his last two shows on FTA (we’re away from home with no streaming option) and have found this show to be fascinating and he’s still infectious - really very good.

Will see if he’s got a companion book out and if so will get it. Some of his salad and vege curry ideas look fantastic.

Thanks for that. The new US ‘UV’ book is pretty pricey at $75 - but earlier UK version looks good at $45.

I've now completed this and it's quite obviously set up for Season two, which after watching the entire of season 1, I am strangely optimistic about.
