Road sign inconsistencies, with respect to roadworks in particular.

E.g. today drove south over the Desert Rd; which naturally had roadworks and a 50km/h temporary speed limit.

But they'd covered all the speed signs on the sharp bends for that km or two of road, which all which would normally indicate a 45km safety limit for each bend....

Why?? Surely this is not only stupid but dangerous as well!

iMessage again. Wife’s phone on VFNZ has logged her out and won’t reactivate.
Annoying.

That reminds me: I saw one the other day that said "road closed", followed by "residence only". Someone designed it, someone approved it, someone printed it and someone installed it, and none of them noticed that it's the wrong word.

I’m sure they will take some “learnings” from it. 😁

I see Sky has started using children to advertise its broadband. This kind of thing always annoys me because it is a cheap tactic to generate warm fuzzies by exploiting the kiddie cuteness factor. If they have something to say, they should just say it without all the emotional manipulation. It is a desperate approach from a fading business.

It's still a step above the even more desperate Telecom ads some years ago where they used animals to advertise their business. In both cases the reasons were the same, they're the only ones who could say anything positive about them.

Wet and Forget.

It's easy to apply and seems to smell like it would work...but there's no immediate effect. I want instant gratification!

I don't like having to wait for progress.

I saw one called apply and let dry or something equally goofy. They really are scraping the bottom of the barrel for naming outdoor cleaning products.

I think they are all trying to parasite off Wet & Forget's brand recognition.

That's because calling it "Diluted Bleach", which is what it is, wouldn't exactly see it flying off the shelves.

(A very small percentage of stuff sold as mould/lichen/whatever remover is proper algaecide, but the vast majority of it is watered-down bleach).
