Facebook for reviewing my report of someone for threatening someone else with physical violence and them saying it doesn't represent a breach of their community standards and won't remove it.
I've given up trying to report idiots on FB. Nothing seems to breach their rules.

Yesterday morning I sent an email to our local Farmlands branch with a list of fencing materials I need them to price for me.
Having heard nothing in 24 hours, I rang them today.
"Oh yeah. We do not have anyone in the office at the moment. They are on leave so no one is checking the email."
"Do you not think it might be useful to have set up an auto reply telling people who email you that no one is reading the mail?"
"Yeah. Nah. Sorry about that."

No worse than twitter. The only thing that breaches their rules is whatever the God King feels offended by today.
afe66: Air new Zealand advertising flight costs for one way...
I'm sure they vast vast number of NZ going to visit friend in family in Australia are returning so a return from price would be more indicative...
Return would be just as deceptive, given the return flight at that price would be in a cramped A321neo arriving at 12:10am.

And that's not even the worst part... Often once they've hooked your attention, you click through and look at a *return* ticket, only to see that the return flight is much, much more expensive than the one way flight. I think this is deceptive and therefore illegal.
If you think about it, the return leg should actually be slightly cheaper because they have a near-guarantee that if you took the outgoing flight then you're not going to cancel the return one. The "insurance cost", for want of a better term, is therefore a bit lower.

I noticed that fares in the USA are usually advertised as return fares, so I am not sure why we do it the way we do as you are correct - most would come home.
I have also noticed that there is often quite a jump in the fare to return to NZ too when compared to the outward leg.
networkn:I've found Bunnings excellent for accepting feedback like this. I recommend contacting them and giving constructive feedback via their website.
Sent them some feedback yesterday evening and got a call from their buyer for the timber this morning, they're looking into it and have also taken it up with their supplier.
Wow, now that's customer service.
Ref Airfares to Aus and America, perhaps it’s because there are a bunch of kiwis that go to Australia for work and a better life (and only return as 501s 😕). Whereas I don’t think you are allowed to visit the US without having an outbound ticket (or a work visa).
Airline pricing for NZ domestic and Australia has been per sector for a long time. The bait advertising is that it states the lowest fare (which almost every retailer does) and taxes and levies are normally additional. All the airlines do it. But when it says “one way, seat only” right under the price, it really is buyer beware.

For NZers I don't think they have to worry much about that one, the one thing I make very sure of when going to the US is that I've got an ongoing flight to guarantee I'll be back out of there not long afterwards.
Inflation. Strange how its supposed to 7%ish, but every rise I've seen, and there have been one or two, always seem to be at least twice that.
The usual excuses of course, raw materials, suppliers, freight blah blah. Never hear its because we're a greedy corporate giant and the big boss wants a bigger bonus this year.

Because places have held off the increases over the last couple of years hoping that the dollar and freight was just a blip, so you are getting 2.5-3 years worth of inflation adjustment happening in one hit.
Call me cynical, but I doubt there were many of those.
No I don't research this, it just an impression, and hence perfectly valid 😀

Some businesses that are in a competitive market and worried about losing customers by being undercut by competitors so try to hold off and let others go first. Other businesses with captive clientele or monopolies just add their extra costs and then some more onto their pricing.
