msukiwi:
That parking on Fire Hydrants is NOT a towable offence!
Even if you have a wheel on the Hydrant lid for over 5 hours (Or for days) you only get 1 x $60 fine!
There's a thread on this. Bus lanes are a priority, the rest of the road rules seem to be optional.
MikeB4:
Getting all the way to the garage and forgetting what I was there for only to remember when I get back inside. Can only blame myself, I must not stop to read texts when on a mission.
I do it all the time. It's a threshold thing. I'm not sure how to fix it other than maybe mentally rehearse why you are moving! Or maybe verbally! Going to the garage to get the steel ruler....

Or move your garage nearer your house.

As it ANNOYS me, this is the appropriate thread to vent!

Oh, I can easily manage that without stopping to read texts on the way.
Now why did I come into the bedroom again?

"Going to the bedroom to get the wombleguffin, going to the bedroom to get the wombleguffin, going to the bedroom to get the wombleguffin, damn that door is creaking a bit, should probably oil the hinges, should I use Ballistol or just the cheap three-in-one, I'll use that and not waste the Ballistol, there's a bottle of that in the basement, why am I in the bedroom when I wanted to go down to the basement, going to the basement to get oil, going to the basement to get oil, oh look, cobwebs, I need to get the vaccuum cleaner from upstairs in the bedroom ...".
Courier drivers that doesn't follow rules - the second time this week one has caused issues and damages at our properties.

But if I blame the text message its not fault right?😀
There seems to be a new breed of headlamps that are crazy annoyingly bright, with extra-bright spots right in the middle of their focus.
Came across one the other day which was some kind of Mitsi. It had headlights on the extreme outer corners of the bumper and every now and then I'd get an annoying flash from the center of that focus across all my mirrors.
There's another style that I've commonly seen with this problem which has what looks like a row of LED lights across the top of it. The headlamps in these also have a similar effect.
Might be this one, which is apparently from a Hilux:
Ubuntu.
You move files to the "Rubbish Bin". You right-click on the "Rubbish Bin" to do things. But you "Empty the Wastebasket....."

Every OS seems to be inconsistent when it comes to the bin. Windows has "Empty Recycle Bin", which seems to be one of the only menu items in the OS to refer back to itself (it should either just be "Empty", or the other entries should also have the name, i.e. "Open Recycle Bin in new window", "Pin Recycle Bin to Start", "Properties of Recycle Bin", etc.)
MacOS is the same, with "Open" and "Empty Bin". Why does the bin get special treatment in both systems?
Windows Updates on the work laptop bbq'd the sound system. Scratchy output and minimal mic input.
Driver update pushed out to "fix" the issue background installed itself mid meeting so I lost audio entirely. Useful.
I now have audio output back at a mostly useful point but the mic input volume level is so low that it's useless and I don't have the approved headset at home. Great supply of devices not fit for purpose. *sigh*

Because poms get annoyed when its called the trash on a mac so they started the trend of renaming it in british english, and with macs and windows you get a lot of people that choose one or the other when setting up based on their preference so there is a wide variety of default names on them.
Then, take that over to linux and multiply it by 10 because they are such an opinionated bunch about things that don't matter.
