Have had an Ooni since they were called Uuni, makes great pizza, is portable, gets good heat from the pellets, couldn't recommend it more.

For Christmas I did a rolled lamb leg which I marinated in rosemary, thyme, garlic and lemon zest.

I also did a side of Norwegian salmon which I dryish brined with salt and maple syrup and prawns which I marinated in garlic, fish sauce, lime juice and some chilli. The kids got some nice thick burgers.

I did the whole lot over charcoal with maple chunks on the kettle and christened the Weber GA. Everyone really enjoyed the food and it was a fun day.

Hi guys! How was your Xmas?! :D

I've got a very special Xmas gift. A powered Spinning Barbecue Skewer from EspetoSul. You can check it out in action here (with the Chicken hearts), and the product here. I highly recommend it! :)

Yes, the "investigate" for me means how could I fit that into a brick-made firepit...

I am still waiting for the weather to co-operate sufficiently to even take the cover off ours this season!

Was such good weather all weekend.

Cooked Lamb ribs with pulled lamb shoulder, Pork ribs supplied by promoter, brisket supplied by promoter, Pork shoulder, Chicken breasts. Great weekend with good people.

Unfortunately not, was some tough competition with the best of NZ bbq there this weekend. Still had a good time, and looking forward to the next comp already.

Hahahahah, yeah tis indeed vegetable. Comp rules, "Approved garnishes are allowed inside the hand in box, which are strictly and wholly green-coloured parsley, lettuce or kale"

So we normally buy 1 kg of parsley for presentation in the hand in box.

1 Kg of parsley? That must be a rather large volume.
