Alexei Navalny's death. I don't want to make this political, but this seems like a travesty. I know there are probably thousands or hundreds of thousands of cases similarly unjust, but this was so public and so wrong. It's hard to understand.

The fact you can behave toward someone, like this and suffer no consequences.

Efeso Collins dying suddenly at 49 doing a charity run. The shock for the family and the wife who would have expected at least another 30 years with her man. Can’t get him out of my mind and keep thinking of his family.

There are just so many elements of this that affects me. The kids exposed to such violence, the senseless killing, the fact that officer will need to live with that for the rest of her life, something that likely won't actually start to impact her long after the initial stuff like interviews and media attention dies down.

The fact the attacker ended up in a situation where he felt this was his only avenue.

We are travelling abroad in June to celebrate our birthdays and visit our son and his partner. My specialists have strongly advised that this should be the last trip out of Aotearoa. This has hit me like a tonne of bricks and I am feeling very depressed.

Neuropathic itch. It is relentless and makes sleep or any relaxation very difficult. The last week I have averaged circa 4 hours sleep at night. I am so dammed tired.

I swear by Mebo products. Their wound cream is tops and their burn cream is used in hospitals world wide. I see they have an anti itch one. Read up on their stuff and see if it could be right for you. They do free overnight shipping and it’s cheaper than buying from a chemist. They all have a strong sesame smell which once attracted the airport dogs on to me both sides of the ditch :))

Thanks heaps for that, I will look at their site and contact them.

I am not sure if it will help, neuropathic itch is a nerve itch. There is nothing visible on the skin, no heat, cold rash or change in colour. My specialist says it caused by compression of the spinal cord at the thoracic spine. It can be helped by surgery but they won't do it as there is a 69% chance of below the waist paralysis if things go wrong. I am nearly at the point of saying to hell with risk do it, my wife does not want me to take the risk.

My heart literally aches for this family. I can't imagine how terrible this would be.

A little late but anyways...  Anzac Service this year, it really brought back the feelings how we should be so grateful and thankful to all the Anzac troops that have served in the last 100+ years.  We live in a pretty safe country and I'm extremely grateful I dont live in Israel or Ukraine or any of the other countries around the world that have ongoing wars where any time any where your life or your loved ones could be taken from you in an instant.

In the end Violence and war achieves nothing!

My grandparents, and my step dad all served, and I suspect were disappointed I chose not to follow in their footsteps.

I think Ukraine might disagree about the necessity of war and violence, the alternative was not defending their invasion.

I doubt my Grandparents would agree that their service achieved nothing.

It would be nice if it all wasn't necessary though.

Having an accident there my polar fleece sleeve caught on the kitchen door handle, resulting in my legs whipping out from under me

before being slammed down on the vinyl floor.

Due to the high dose blood thinners I was (Now changed) on, caused major bleeding complications which I am finally home from 12 days in Hospital.

A VERY painful experience. At least it resulted in my 10yr+ medication being reviewed and updated.

Also interesting (& very sad to see) how many times security were required to restrain violent patients on the ward. (Including staff being physically struck etc!)

Glad to be home and slowly making a recovery.
